Best Tricks: She opens her mouth, goes back and lays down under command, she points to the person or object you ask her to, she shakes (and other paw),hi five and hi ten.Her best trick was to go and open the third drawer of the closet to get the treat or toy under comma
Arrival Story: Her mother was a purebreed boxer who fell in love with a pointer(as the vet told us) and she gave birth to Lucy and Indie. Her mom was the dog of a friend and nobody wanted those cuties as they weren't purebreeds...but we wanted, we were thrilled to take one of Lisa's babies so Lucy emerged into our lives and our family at the age of 5 weeks.
(continued tricks: Jumps to catch any treat or toy thrown in mid air, whines under command, in our previous house she would go and open the third drawer of the closet and take the cookie we had placed in it under command ( the closet we have now is difficult for her to open), knocks the door when she wants out to the veranda or the garden omg there are so many)
Bio: She is the joy of our lives, the most loving, funniest hilarious baby on earth. She loves every living creature, ah well besides the sheep that chased her the other day! Lucy doesn't know she is a dog, she thinks she is a person . She is our little lady , we love her regal stance when she is sitting on a chair and we are always amazed with her generocity, she is ready to leave the most delicious treat when we tell her that it was meant for someone else. She is such a special family member and so very loved . We are so honoured and proud of having her in our lives. She wakes us up wiggling and giving us her famous kisses as if there is no tomorrow! How the sun could rise before that? We love you Lucy mou, se latrevoume moro mou.How will we ever thank you enough for loving us so much!

I don't know how to start...Baby Lucy just couldn't wait any longer. She fought pyometra and she was a winner. Our vet just couldn't believe it..But Cushings was stonger than her.Last night she stopped walking she couldn't stand on her feet.So we called Aggelo(our doctor) to come and help her to the bridge.
We did everything possible to keep you with us at least until Marilena comes from the US in August...I am so SORRY we didn't make it. You have your angel wings now and you can fly to her.
Irma and Maron and the kitties are there with you, you will not be alone. You will never be alone. YOU WILL ALWAYS LIVE IN OUR HEARTS.
Oh my God I miss you already, the house is empty sweety.
THANK YOU FOR THE FOURTEEN WONDERFUL YEARS YOU GAVE US,and FOR THE LOVE< THE LESSONS YOU TAUGHT US.
Mommy Nana,Nikos, Mama, Mpampas and Marilena
I don't know how to express my feelings ... Lucy's condition is critical at the moment we have given her predinsone to stop het hct from dropping and avoid transfusion yet this didn't happen but added more incidents of dairrhea... The only thing we haven't done so far is bone marrow spiration as it is very painful and she won't be able to handle anaesthesia...It is probably neoplastic induced aiha and I just want to do the best for her. Surgery is out of the question and all we want is make her feel comfortable. But how do you let go? I just can't...The vet told meno more tests..that I should concentrvte on making her feel better and get ready to let her go when the time comes. How can I let my baby go???
Baby Lucy is very lethargic these days. She is also diagnosed with autimmune hemolytic anemia besides her Cushings and this makes it extremely difficult to treat either condition.
We can't give her steroids for the anemia due to Cushing's and it is very dangerous to give Lysodren due to her anemia...
We are devastated. Her HCT is very low (19,18, 17,15 in the ltes CBCs). We will do an abdominal ultrasound,a coomb's test and an acth stimulation on Monday.
It's so difficult to take the right decision at this point. We feel completely lost. All we want is to make her feel better and more comfortable. We can't cure Cushing's and I'm reluctant dministering Lysodren as it is too risky for her...So we will fight the anemia in the best way possible.
We need all the prayers of the world.
