Playing with Leroy and hogging the bed.

toys that squeak really scare me!

Favorite Toy:
I love tennis balls. I will play with a tennis ball, or any toy that has tennis ball material on it, until it is nothing but a little nubbin.

Favorite Food:
I am only allowed to eat dog food! Sometimes I get an egg as a treat and I like that!

Favorite Walk:
I love to walk along the riverbed behind our house and to go hiking in Griffith Park.

Best Tricks:
I sit at every street corner and wait to get the OK before I cross the street.

Arrival Story:
One Saturday in March, my owner wanted to go to the pound and pick out a dog. She had been to three other pounds and hadn't connected with any other dogs. She walked past my cage and immediately noticed my huge ears. I was scared so I started barking at her, but when she got closer to her cage, I hid from her. Cortney asked to take me out of my cage. I was too scared to move so she had to carry me in her arms and I let her without looking at her at all. I heard Cortney say that she had fallen in love with me and she adopted me. I was in bad shape with fleas, worms, and stinky matted fur so I had to spend a week at the vet before I could go to my new home. I was really lucky because I was only one day away from being euthanized.

Bio:
it has been a process, but she has come along. when i first brought her home, she hid under the table for three days. she wouldn't let anyone come near her, she wasn't housetrained, and she wouldn't walk on a leash. it took some time and a lot of patience and she is now very playful and lively. she is still very skittish around people (other than me) and she won't let them pet her unless I am around. When I am not at home, she hides under my bed, but is the first to greet me when she hears my key in the door! She has come so far and I think that with more time, she will continue to get more courage around people.
