Arrival Story:
I remember the day my mom & Dad came to see me at the H.S. I was so scared that the nice people at the H.S. kept me up at the front desk so I could get used to new folks. Well, my mom saw me and she brought my Dad back to visit with me, and even though I was still pretty shy, I jumped up onto my future Dad's leg and gave him a "take me home" look. That sealed the deal! And then the next thing I know I'm riding in my new mom's lap in the front seat of the their car and I get to my new house! And, it's great, I have 6 cats and a huge yard to play in and I'm spoiled rotten!

Bio:
I love to ride in the car and will go traveling anytime! I love to visit my human sibs in the city and stay at their crib and go to clubs and have dog-tinis. We got a new baby brother in May. He is a "goldendoodle" and his name is Oliver. Check out his page, he's a cute little guy even if he is a pain-in-the-butt!!!

This weekend was SO not a vacation!

Oh geez, here we go again. It's summer and my Mom & Dad think it's fun to do "summer stuff" (ie.....go the lake....yech....go to the ocean....yech, well the actual ocean anyway)....and now, go to the mountain!!!! So we take a long drive on Friday ( I am soooo excited because a long drive means you are going somewhere good), and we end up at a 100 yr. old cabin in the woods. Could be cool, I kind of like it. We get up the next morning reallllyyy early (I'm not much of a morning person) and get all ready for the hike. "HIKE"???? No one mentioned a hike, but I trot along happily thinking we are all going on a fantastic walk through the woods. Suddenly we are walking a plank over a raging river (suppose I fall in???) and marching up a steep hill, which never seems to end. We pass more streams and narrow ledges we have to shimy around and I'm thinking this is not that much fun. I'm sticking really close to my Mom, but my stupid little brother the goldendoodle is having a ball. He sees snow and gets all silly and jumps all around in it and actually expects me to get all excited, too. So we keep trudging along mile after steep mile and I don't complain or anything. In fact, I'm being really, really good and my Mom calls me a "trooper". Then.......we come onto a steep area that looks like a sea of boulders. HUGE boulders....way bigger than me. Still....I don't complain, I just follow Mom and gingerly make my way through the endless sea of giant boulders. My idiot brother, on the other hand, is jumping from rock to rock and actually making his hike LONGER than it needs to be!! We keep going on for what seems like days, and 3 hours later we are almost to the top of the mountain. I'm at 10,000 ft!!!!! WHAT am I doing up here????? Has everyone lost their minds???? Finally, we start on the way back down (again, the giant boulder obstacle course) and we get to a shallow stream and wait for some of the other folks. Mom glances at my paw pads, which are bright red and totally swollen! Thank Dog is all I can say.....Mom decides my human big brother has to dump out his pack and put ME in it!!!!! Way to go!!!!! NOW things are looking up!!!!! Not only do I not have to walk anymore, but I can SEE everything all around me! I LOVE it!!!!! I can tell my idiot doggy brother is jealous and fakes a paw injury for a minute, but no one buys into it, so he has to keep on trudging along. Meanwhile I'm having a blast....and then whap! I fall out of the backpack onto my back right onto the trail! Ouch! I coulda really been hurt, and everyone is saying, "awww, Lulu, are you okay?" and "You are such a little trooper, Lulu". I can tell my doggy brother is seething with jealousy, but I just keep hamming it up. I had a wonderful time and if I ever go hiking again, I am definetly doing it in sytle the whole time!!!!

Soooo.....the parents get a new car. And, whoopeee, it has leather seats! YAY!!!! Now my doggy bed can slip and slide all over the place! And...it DOES!! Just when my Mom is pulling into the spot where she's gonna park the car to take us doggys for our walkie......my bed flies off the back seat and I catch my toenail in SOMETHING.....because it rips right off my toe!!!!! OWWWWW!!!!! I squeal a bit, but I'm tough, and Mom doesn't even notice my bloody toe till we're walking on our path! Do I complain???? Naw, I just keep walking and tredging along, no complaining, because I am a TROOPER! Fast forward to the next morning and my toe is all swollen up and I am shivering and I can't put my little petite rear left foot on the ground. I am miserable. Mom feels so sorry for me, because I do indeed look pretty forlorn. She rumages through her medicine cabinet for us doggys and finds a pain reliever that was prescribed for me for the "eye incident" a year ago....and voila!!! The pain is gone. I think I may be in for a trip to the vet tomorrow....oh yippee, I smell a muzzle and ointment in my future. I'm sleeeeppppy right now, so I think I will say bye-bye..............

I had my bags all packed

Dear Diary,
I had my bags all packed and ready to go (as the song goes...). It's clear my parents don't love me at all anymore. First, they let my stupid little doggy brother go on a "camping trip" with my human sib brother ( I supposedly "hate" all other dogs and there were going to be other dogs there). And, to top things off my human sib sister is moving that weekend and she can't doggysit me. So then they say, "Lulu, you can't come with us on this trip, you will have to spend the night here at the house, alone". ALONE???!!!! You mean ALL alone???? With no one to look after my needs, my desires, my wishes...?? O.k......so they left the back door open a crack for me to go out and "do my duty", and they left a nice bowl of doggy food plus a few little extra treats for me. And, of course, tons of water.
HOW am I going to pass the time?? WHO will calm my fears? So I got to thinking that maybe they just don't appreciate me that much anymore and maybe I should just take the hint and get on with it. Through doggy tears and feelings of being snubbed, I began to pack my bag (s) and be done with them! I was just getting my 2 little hoody sweatshirts and my fleece polo jacket tucked into my red & black checkered bag with the "Lulu" logo on the front......when, could it be??.......the fam's car is pulling into the driveway!!!!! I can't HELP myself...I run as fast as I can down the stairs and out the back door and into the driveway! I squeel and yelp and literally THROW myself into the trunk of the car as they are un-packing their bags!!!! They brought me pressies!!!! And, they are going off to a BBQ that afternoon and they are going to take ME with them!!! OMD............no dogs.....just people, and not kids....just adults!!! Well, I DID go to the BBQ and I had a blast and everyone there fussed and fawned all over me and told me how pretty I was, and wasn't I good dog and how well mannered I am......soooo, anyway, I forgive the parents and I've decided to stay.
