Opening a fridge - I came in once to find a joint of beef under the cushions of the sofa. I think she was waiting for it to defrost.

Arrival Story:
I'd always wanted a German Shepherd. I was raised on Bullet (Roy Rogers), Rin Tin Tin and Rebel (Champion the Wonder Horse. so when someone I worked with wanted to rehome a 3 month old German Shepherd I didn't hesitate, I had her put on a lorry that we had down at the port and bought up from Felixstowe. I never regretted the choice.

Bio:
Candy was my soul mate. we had so much in common. We both had back problems, skin problems and were inclined to put weight on. I am ashamed to say she weighed nearly 8 stone so we both went on a diet she got down to her ideal weight of 37 kilos and I lost nearly 4 stone. She got through to Pet slimmer of the year final. She was on TV and stayed in a posh hotel at Hyde Park Corner London. The final was held at Kensington Roof Gardens which is where the photo of her curled up asleep was taken. She finished runner up to a draught excluder! She was 11 and a half when I lost her, but she went in 1 day from a tumour on the spleen with secondaries. I always hope that I didn't miss anything and that she didn't suffer.
