Arrival Story:
My mommy and Daddy had just gotten married and they were looking for a dog like my grandma's (wire fox terrier) but wanted the colors of the Airedale so they began looking. One day while daddy was away in RANGER school my mommy was looking in the paper and saw an add for WELSH Terriers for sale. Of course mommy had never had a pure bred before so she asked my grammy if she would go and help pick me out. So off they went on a long journey. After driving 10 hours or so, they were so exhausted and said that if we did not get a puppy we were bringing something home, even if it were a cow! Well, the finally reached the breeders home and were checking all of us out. I, the sneaky sligh one just sat on grampy's lap, acting like a prince, while all others were acting all crazy. My mommy saw me and said, "he's the one"! We finalized the papers and off we went. Two months later Daddy was finished with his school and we finally got to meet! Daddy being in the Military, I got to travel to GA, HI, Washington DC, Puerto Rico, and many other places along the way.

I live a GREAT life with my mommy and daddy. I lived 16 years and 2 months. For my 16th Birthday, mommy and daddy gave me a Scooby Doo party. I had scooby hats, plates, party favors for my friends and even scooby cup cakes. I had a blast. Unfortunately, that was my last party with my friends and family. I eventually became too old to keep going and mommy and daddy felt that I would be better not suffering anymore. I knew that one day I would be with them again. I could not have asked for a better family. Mommy always said, "For what love has already given us, death could never take away." May 1990- August 2006

Today is the 1 year anniversary of RANGER THOR's passing. Here is a little note from mommy to you RANGER.
To My dearest Ranger,
You were the apple (or terror) of my eye. You brought me so many happy times in your 16 years with me. We had good days and we had bad days but having you in my life was priceless. I keep all your memories in my heart in a very special place. All the memories I have with you are surely here to stay. For what love has already given me, your death could never take away.
I know that you are above watching over me and one day we will be together again.
Ranger, I just want you to know that I love you and I will never forget all the joys that you brought me.
Hugs and Kisses

Today mommy found some old photos of me in my good ol days. She decided to put them on DOGSTER for everyone else to see too. I had 16 good years with mommy and daddy and traveled many places. I came from Missouri, lived in Kansas City for a few months, moved to Ft.Benning, GA, then to Ft. Stewart, GA, then onto Schofield Barracks, HI, then to Ft. Stewart, GA again. daddy switched careers then and we were off to Brownsville, Texas and then Virginia and DC for 8 months and then off to Puerto Rico for 3 years. My last place to live was again back in Brownsville where I was laid to rest in August 2006. All I can say is that I lived a long and eventful life.

Here is a poem that my mommy found about me:

With tears of grief and heavy hearts
we say goodbye to you.

Animal friends as sweet as you have
been precious and few.

You stayed with us and played with us
and gave us all your love.

Now I give the gift of peace to you
and thank the LORD above
for the 16 years you joined our lives
with your patient gentle face.

We'll keep you in our heart
in a very special place.

All the memories you have made with
us are surely here to stay.

For what love has already given
us, death could NEVER take away.
