Arrival Story: I read an ad in the paper that said "Teddy Bear puppies for sale" and I wondered what they were so I called them and asked to come over and see them. They had 2 left upstairs, but they were already spoken for. I asked if they had any more and they said they had one male but I probably didn't want it. They said it wasn't a "pedigree" teddy bear and didn't look "appropriate." I said I wanted to see him anyways and he was down in the basement in the corner cowering. I felt so terrible for him! :( No one wanted him just because he had curly hair instead of long, white and tan, wavy hair.
Needless to say I immediately snatched him up and brought him home. She told me just to take him because he would never sell. He sat at my house for a month consistently being referred to as "puppy" because I couldn't find a fitting name for him. One day I was sitting down flipping through the channels when all of a sudden my favorite anime popped up on the screen.
"Tenchie in Tokyo." A story about a boy who found himself in constant trouble that the girls went ga ga over. And that was it. That was the name. It was perfect since my friend used to take him on walks just to collect pretty girls' phone numbers. And now he's the mischevious curly haired Tenchie Nobuyuki.
