New Brother

Hello my friends! Yesterday our family welcomed a new German Shepherd pup. "Atka" meaning "guardian spirit" in Inuit language. He is 7 months old and born at the Bullinger's Kennel in Aldergrove, BC.

Mom wants me to be nice to him but he's such a brat! Anyways, mom still lets me sleep with her and lets me eat by myself first. Hopefully by Xmas we can all get along great ;)

Because it’s Thanksgiving time, there is a change to the rules. Each player needs to tell seven special things they are thankful for. 1. My family whom adopted me.
2. My mother whom always plays and feeds me with good food.
3. My mother whom lets me sleep with her.
4. Big yard I've been lucky enough to have to play around.
5. Nicest beach near our home so I can go swimming in.
6. My grandpas couch where I can nap with him.
7. All my doggy friends around the world!

The day at the vet's

Yesterday mom took me to a familiar place. I knew right when I out the door. Sniffed my way to the vet's office. Yeah! my favorite reception works there! Boy she's such fun. I even had chance to play with her for awhile. Mom really took me in for a annual full examination. We waited in the vet's room, it smelled like baby powder... Well the vet finally came in and he was very happy to see me and mom. The vet and mom was just chatting for awhile about me I guess. Probably about any problems I had since the last I've seen him. He explained to mom that there was a parvo outbreak recently so it would be best to have me immunized.

Well then the vet checked my pulse, heart beat, my pearly whites and ears. No problem! He said mom did a great job of keeping me healthy. I'm real proud of mom. The vet gave me two cookies for being such good girl. As we headed out the door, we waved goodbye till next year! Run into couple friends of mine too. Black Lab and the old gray cat.

After returning home, we had a great game of fetch. It was a beautiful day. The flowers on the apple trees were blossoming. Till next time pals, wigs and wags.
