Arrival Story:
My father had Dobermans when we were growing up. Both my brother and I swore we would each get a Doberman when we grew up. I finally got mine in 1999. Beauregard, King of All That He Surveys. I met the breeder, with no intent of getting a dog. She had a very special young man out there named Nero. He was playing with the horses. After watching them play together, I knew that was what I was looking for in a dog. As it would happen, someone who had gotten one of Nero's littermates was deployed and couldn't take him with them. I got a call to come and check out this dog. She handed me the leash, he sat on my foot and the rest is history.
Beauregard went to the bridge on June 18th, 2008. His lungs were full of cancer. He has a tribute page on my personal website that really captures the essence of that dog. Beau, you really were a champagne supernova of a dog. Godspeed little man.
