San Angelo Ms walk 2008

Saturday morning came and mommy woke us up early at 545 said it time to get up. I just looked at her said but mom its Saturday it’s the day when we sleep in she said lets go were going to take a trip to San Angelo. I thought san Angelo where the heck is that and what are we going there for she asked me if I was ready to go walk for ms. Then I knew what it was we were going to walk for mommy Pat she has Ms and we need to walk to raise money for cure to help her get better . Mommy robin got my leash down form the hook and I was so excited I was ready to go she put the leash on me and we got in the truck I didn’t know we was going to have to drive 3 hours to walk but I was still excited mommy robin took me we had to make a pit stop and pick up Jarvis from work so he could go to. WE pulled up to the ambulance station and Jarvis threw all his stuff in and we were off to San Angelo to walk for the cure of Ms, well so I thought they had to make one more pit stop for breakfast at sonic they pulled and placed there order they asked Derek what he wanted he said a # 1 burger with nothing on it I looked at the menu and thought ok there going to ask me next what I wanted I knew just what I wanted a super sonic burger with cheese and Tate tots but they didn’t ask me they placed there order and forgot all about me and maddie I just looked at mommy robin well there orders came and we were off gain to san Angelo well mommy robin handed out the food to everyone I thought well maybe there going to share with us put they didn’t maddie and I were disappointed we didn’t get our # 2 with cheese so we just laid down and went to sleep well it seemed like we drover forever just to get to the park well we finally stopped we were there finally they put our leases back on and oh boy we were so excited we walked down a lot of stairs and across this long bridge over the river I didn’t like the bridge it was scary but I made it to the other side and oh boy there was lots of people there and other dogs walking for there owners to help find the cure for ms I was so excited that we were going to help raise money to help find the cure for ms and mommy pat I was ready to go walk but mommy robin said we had to wait for mommy pat to get here so we could start well they finally showed up and mommy pat had shirts for us said something about licking ms I thought we were walking for ms not licking it but oh well my shirt was kind of small but I wore it any way since mommy pat made it for me well every one finally got there and I was ready to go keeko even came to walk well I just had to wait they take pics and everything else I was beging to wonder if this thing was ever going to get started finally this lady made the announcement that we going to start oh boy I was so ready to go finally we were off walking and walking we walked like 10 miles seemed like it was net but seemed like it finally made to the end I got some water and they said ok time to walk back now boy I was tired already but I walked back we got back and the said the sandwiches r over on the table I was ready for sandwich they tied us to tree in the shade and we got some sandwiches and mommy pat brought some ice cream oh boy we love ice cream I had to share with keeko and maddie I didn’t want to share my ice cream but did any way well it was time to go oh no I ha to walk across the scary bridge again but I did it we got back to the truck and laid down I nteh back seat and went to sleep we went to the lake after wards and laid in the shade and slept and watched all the people go buy it was a great fun day cant wait till November when we go this thing they call dell diamond to walk again for ms its not as pretty as the park was but its for a good cause.

Monday Morning News

Saturday was sooo special. I got to go with mama all by myself. I couldn't believe it when mama picked me up and took me to the truck. She actually left Keeko standing at the gate, crying like a little baby. (course I probably would have been too)

We went to a place called a bank. There was this lady stuck in a window. She had a little drawer that went in and out. She gave mama some green paper in an envelope (I guess so mama would help her out of the window) but mama just drove off. I thought that was kinda rude of mama. She could have at least tried to help the lady get out through the drawer or something.

Then we went to this place that mama called a pet shop. It had little birds and furry little things called hamsters. Mama got me and Keeko some more dog food. Then she gave the man some of the green paper that the poor lady at the bank had given her.

Next, we went to the BIG store called Petsmart. I've heard alot about it, but this was actually my first time there. There was this great big skinny dog at the front door. He was kinda snooty. He stuck his big long nose in the air. His lady said he was gonna try to be adopted. I think he should have a better attitude if he's gonna try to win over somebody.

Me and mama tried to walk around the store. It wasn't much of a walk though cause everybody stopped mama and then petted me. They all said how pretty I was and what a good girl. "Thank you for the compliment ,now, can me and mama continue our WALK"?

We turned this corner and OH MY GOSH...... It was the most handsomest thing I have ever seen. His daddy said he was a doberman pincher. We smelled each other and he seemed really nice. I wasn't even afraid he would pinch me.... We didn't even get to play though. I wanted to go outside and play, but NO!!! We gotta go down another ile (whatever that is).

There was a bunch of different fur friends in the store. But I just don't understand why everyone says it's so fun. All you get to do is smell and say hi. You don't even get to romp and play with em. Well anyway, mama got me a leash of my very own. It's pink, like my collar.

Then we went to this really SCARY place. Mama put some of the green paper in a machine and we drove into this place kinda like the garage at home. I thought maybe mama was gonna park there like she does at home. All of sudden, this storm started. It started raining all over our truck, REALLY HARD. It was very LOUD. It never did thunder or lightning, just LOUD RAIN.

Then it stopped raining and this white stuff covered our truck. I guess it's what some of my pals call snow. It looked like the stuff in the pictures. Mama wouldn't let me out to play in in though. Then the rain started again and when it stopped, a colored snow covered our truck. Grandpa Spike said something one time about yellow snow but this was pink and blue and yellow, kinda like a rainbow. It was peaceful and smelled nice. I decided I would just lay down and enjoy it when all of a sudden the rain came back. This time even harder. It just kept hitting our truck, first one side then the other. It slowed down to just a gentle rain and I decided to TRY to lay down again.

OH MY GOSH!! I THINK IT'S A TORNADO!!! MAMA, WE GOTTA GET OUT OF HERE. Why do you just sit there?? Why are you so CALM?? MAMA, WE ARE GONNA DIE IN HERE...... DO YOU HEAR ME?? Of course not, the wind is too loud.
Whew, finally the storm was over. The wind and rain stopped. Mama pulled out of the garage. Please mama, let's never park in that garage again.... Can we go home now????

Rockweiler???

My daddy keeps telling me I'm not a rockweiler. I know daddy, I'm a Sheltie. Why do you say that to me?? What is a rockweiler anyway?

This is how it all started. I was out in the yard the other day. It was a very nice pretty sunny day. I smelled something. Oh what a beautiful glorious smell. I had to find out what it was. So I started digging under the treee. Dirt was going EVERYWHERE. Fly dirt, fly. I must find this smell. Faster and faster and deeper and deeper. I gotta find it. Oh, I hit something. Sniff, sniff I think that is where the smell is coming from. Must dig deeper and faster. Wait...... sniff, sniff
Yep, it is definitely coming from there. Must dig a little bit more.

There it is!!! Beautiful, glorious, luscious!! I have to take it and show it off. If I can just get my mouth around it. It's .. a .. little.. bit.... Got it...

Mama, look what I found. It taste sound good. Wonderful, beautiful. Look at it mama. Isn't it just PERFECT????

"Lacey, what are you doing with that ROCK???" How in the world did you get it in your mouth?? Rocks belong outside, you're not a rockweiler?? I know, I keep telling ya, I'M A SHELTIE!!!!!

6. I have my very own pool and dirt pile. I love to get in the pool and get my feet all wet and then get in the dirt pile and get muddy. I'll come into the house through the doggie door and track mud all in the house. I sure am glad Mama loves me.....

7. I brink sticks in the house and chew them up in the middle of the living room floor. Boy, it's a good thing mama loves me......

My "special" day

Mama put me in the truck and took me, just me. She left Keeko at home. Hahahaha Keeko. I'm more special than you. She's probably gonna take me somewhere cool. Maybe to Petsmart or Petco to get a special toy. I AM SPECIAL..........

She's stopping at the pretty building. Wait, that's not a petstore, what is this place. She made me stand still on this thing called a "scale". I weigh a whopping 7.5 lbs. A little bit more and surely I will be able to straighten Keeko's tail for sure. Hehehe

Okay they are taking me into another room. This room is little and it has this cold shiny table on it. Mama pick me up, this thing is brrrr, cold....

A lady came in, she said her name was Gay and and she would be the techni...... something like that anyway... She got this stick thing and she... oh no you're not gonna put that thing in there.... She did anyway. That stick thing went in the bottom. I thought stuff was supposed to come out of that place, not go in.. She says "good girl" and takes it out. Of course I was a good girl, you try moving around alot with that thing in your bottom.

The "doctor" came in and put a light in my ears and felt around on my ribs and back. He said I needed to gain a little bit of weight. I know how my friend "Ellie" feels now. It's hard to gain weight when you like to RUN like I do.

I got my shots and some other stuff that's supposed to keep fleas, ticks and nasty worms away. I didn't like the stuff they put up my nose. That's another place that stuff's supposed to come out, not go in. What is with these people??

We left that place and went to see Miss Jaime. She does Keeko's toenails and mama says she is going to do mine. I don't know what she's going to "do" to them but mama sounds excited about it. We got there and Miss Jaime took me in this room. She used this shiny thing and cut off my toenails. She also used a different shiny thing and took all the fur off the bottom of my feet. Wow it's easier to run with that gone. I was gettin kinda wobbly with that there. Well, we are going home now. I think I'm gonna take a nap. I'm gonna make sure that next time Mama is all excited about taking just me some where that I get more information first.

A rose for Me???

I'm just a little puppy. Everyone here on Dogster has been so nice to me. I have a whole new family, mama, daddy, dog brother and even a GRANDPA. This place is just so neat........

I got an anonymous rosette. It had a red rose and and a red rosette on it. It made me feel SO SPECIAL. I wish I knew who thought so much of me to leave me a red rose. Maybe, just maybe, some day I will know who it was. Even if I never find out, it still made me feel special...

Well, we shall see what tomorrow brings............................................
