I took a herding instinct test on October 25th. I passed the test and got my "first leg." (Which sounds funny to me, I already have four legs!) Mom says I need to pass the test twice to get a herding instinct title after my name, HIC.

There is a video of my test on you tube if you want to see me in action! Just search for Ladd Herding Instinct Test. My sister Abby took the test and passed too - her video is called Abby Herding.

My mom and my girl went away on vacation for a week. I had to go stay with my Aunt Karen and her collies. It was fun playing with all the collies. I got to hang out with my brother Chase. I got to visit with my collie mother, Brooke. I got to catch up on things with my grandmother Angel and my great-grandmother Mariah. I even got to play with my cousins, Penny and CC.

Everything was going well, accept that I was a bit homesick, when disaster struck. My brother Chase and I got into a fight. I can't remember who started it, but I ended up at the animal hospital. I had to get three stitches in my leg! Karen and Kathy took really good care of me though. They even let me sleep in their room. (I really wanted my mom, when you are sick or hurt your mom should be there...)

So I had to take medicine three times a day while my boo-boos healed. I had to eat before I had the medicine, which was really cool. I loved getting fed three times a day! It made me feel like a puppy again!

After I finished my medicine mom said I can still get three meals a day because I am so skinny! Boy am I happy! This morning mom was late for work so I ran and got my bowl. She was about to leave and I knew she forgot about giving me my breakfast! I stood in front of her and held out my bowl, to remind her I wanted my breakfast. She laughed and laughed and gave me a hug. She said I was the smartest collie in the world! (I am just happy I got my kibble!)

No shows in sight...

It's been a while since my last dog show. Mom says I am taking a break and I am going to take some more obedience classes soon. (I love going to shows, I don't want to take a break! Grrr) I have 14 points towards becoming a champion, I just need my second major. But Mom says since I haven't won for awhile we are going to try obedience and agility and that will give me some time to mature. Agility looks like fun, lots of running and jumping. That might not be so bad....
