Arrival Story:
I was volunteering at a shelter, and I was looking for a Dalmatian. One came in, but was quarantined and was waiting to be put down because he was 'aggressive'. I was allowed to adopt him because the workers felt as though I could work with him. I brought him home only to find that he was the biggest baby and the biggest pet for me in the whole world. I am sooooo glad that I adopted him that day.

Bio:
I'm told that he had been running loose on a very busy highway for a couple of months before he was caught by the dog warden. I later found that a month or so prior to him being reported on the highway, that he was spotted running loose in the mountains.

Forums Motto:
My Baby

He is human... and spoiled. He is the most loved boy in this world. He is his mommy's shadow... and constantly leaning against me. At night, he sleeps curled up in my arms - under the covers and he shares my pillow with me. He could not be more loved or adored if he were human.

Happy To Be Here

This place is the best. I have only been here a while and I have already had people asking to be my friend and I joined a group that I was invited to called Sportin' the Spots.

I almost wasn't here though... I am recovering from major surgery right now (I get my stitches out on Monday). I got real sick and couldn't go pee-pee. You guys can't imagine how painful it gets, or how sick you can get when your pee-pee stops working. I didn't know what was going on, but my mom knew that something wasn't right when I couldn't manage to even get a few drops out after several attempts to go. She was scared for me. I was just in agony.

Mom took me to the doctor first thing the next morning and I had to have emergency surgery. My x-rays showed that I had two large stones and they were blocking my uretha. So, my vet (he is WONDERFUL) took good care of me and took them out - he flushed my bladder too and he closed me back up. I had a couple of days where I was very sore and had to stay in the hospital, but alas I was NEVER SO HAPPY when I saw my mommy come to bring me home. My mom showed me one of my stones. Wow. That thing was as big as a marble - and it was the smaller one. The other is at the lab for analysis.

Once I got home, my mommy pampered me and made me very comfy... Since I couldn't clime up in the bed with her just yet, she made her bed beside mine in the floor and she slept with me every night until I could get back in the big bed. She loves me!!!!

I am feeling a lot better now and my mommy says that I have to drink filtered water from now on, and also have to have a very special diet so that I don't have to go through this again. I am all for it... It was no fun.

But, life is wonderful and worth barking for again!
