Finally, an update

We moved back to Thompson, Manitoba. The winters are colder & longer, so I'm not crazy about that, but we have an R2000 home that is toasty warm inside, so that's the main thing! We also have central air for the summer and a heat recovery ventilation unit (air exchange) so the air is nice & fresh all the time. Mummy is having another fence built and it's just about done...but considering she has had the wood since July, it sure is taking a long time to get it completed. I can't wait because I want to run around the yard! I get to go for lots of walks everyday though so that's ok, not as nice as running free though! I do not like laminate floors so mommy got a nice sheepskin rug for me to sleep on and puts clean blankies on top of it every week so it's always fresh for me. She brought my dog house from the old house and is getting my own enclosure for it too. It is really nice to have my human sister around now too. Mummy put the hot tub in the back yard but I do not think I will try that out...I"ll leave that for the humans! She had a-base put down where the pool goes, so when she takes the pool up for the winter it doesn't smell like a hog barn! So, as you can see, I'm a happy pup-pei! All is good with the world.

My Christmas Elf name is WACKY BED-HEAD! Can you imagine! How does Santa's elves know my favourite thing to do is sleep in bed...but wacky...well I never! BOL!

Mummy's name is ZIPPY BED-HEAD! She loves sleeping in her bed too! Zippy, though...that I'm not so sure of.

You would think Elves' names would be sugar toes or plum something but bed-head...all I can say is it fits!

***I'M A HERO**

Last night mummy was finally sitting down to update my diary entry. We live in a pretty big house. The office where mummy was typing on the computer is upstairs. I was downstairs in the house. She had just about finished typing when the power went out (& she lost the diary entry). We live in a small town in the mountains, so it really was pitch black! Oh my goodness, I thought...mummy is far away & up the stairs and she can't see a thing. Sometimes power outages last for 3 hours and she did not have the flashlight with her. Me, being a dog, can find my way around better in the dark, so I went up the stairs and found mummy. She was so happy to have me with her. She sat on the floor and slid carefully as she did not want to fall down the stairs as she tried to find her way down. She held onto me and I moved her in the right direction and she carefully went down the stairs on her butt (BOL!), one step at a time. Mummy gave me a ton of praise and hugs and kisses, as she made it downstairs safely and was able to find the flashlight! I am my mummy's hero!

We're here! We're here!

Hi everypup! We are here in beautiful BC! I love love love it here! I love the mountains, the Fraser River right across the street from our house, and I love our big new house and my very own dog house! We don't have internet yet so mummy will only be on here a little bit until then but I wanted to give you an update. Fruit trees in the backyard, a new fence going up, it is soooo cool here! Mummy has mostly been busy cleaning and unpacking and she started a new job. What I love about her new job is mummy is only like a 3 minute walk from work! She can see our yard and house from work...that means she can come home easily which is great for me. I also love the heat and the nice breezes here. I'll write more later and I have to get mummy to take some pictures once she gets more settled. Stay posted! Have a grrrrrreat summer!

Westward Bound & Truckin'

The moving van is here and soon our furniture will be loaded. I have been living amongst boxes and chaos for awhile now. Mummy's friends have come over to help her pack so it's been nice having the extra company. Tonight we will sleep on the floor and then head off for our long journey west. I'll get mummy to tell you all about it when the internet gets connected in our new home! This is so exciting! *woof* *woof* Bark at you later!

June 2007

Hi pups,
My vet visit went very well. I did not need any teeth extracted and now I have shiny clean teeth and healthy gums. Today is cold, rainy, and windy, so I will only be outside for short periods of time which gave me time to bug mum that it was time to update my dogster site. On the weekend mummy had a garage sale. Lots of people came and mummy said I was the best pup because I was nice and quiet and did not bark or growl at anyone. I enjoyed the sunshine and was a real sweetie she says. Today the engineer comes to inspect and do a report pertaining to the sale of our Manitoba house. I am not sure what an engineer is but by the way mummy is talking it's important that I do not nip him! I'll try to be a good girl for mummy. Now that mummy has got rid of lots of stuff out of our house, she says we have to start packing. That will be fun as I will get to lie there and watch mummy work BOL! Hope all pups are having a great summer. I guess the next thing coming up is our big move & adventure to British Columbia! That is going to be the biggest adventure of my lifetime! We'll keep you posted. Bye for now pups.

Oh oh .... vet time

We are up early this morning. I get to go for another car ride, but this time I don't want to go. Mummy says the vet will put me to sleep to have my teeth cleaned and hopefully I don't need any extracted. She says I'm overdue and we'll have to find something to clean my teeth with after that. While I'm sleeping they will cut my nails nice too and then maybe we'll something like a nail file instead of using clippers. Any suggestions pups as to what works best for keeping nails trimmed and for keeping teeth clean and where we can get something like this? We don't even have a pet store here, so mummy will have to order it or maybe get one in BC when we move there. So I was not allowed food after 8 pm and no water after midnight. I'm going to be hungry and thirsty when I get home tonight. In Thompson there is no heartworm and no ticks either, but we'll probably need heartworm pills for southern BC. Any pups out there know about that? Hopefully the vet will know about BC. I'm thinking any of the southern parts of the provinces have heartworm. Well...wish me luck. Bark at you later.

Lots of Fun

I'm so glad mummy is working just regular hours again. Yesterday we went out to Paint Lake, about half an hour from our house. I met new people and got to go for a nice walk near the lake. I had lots of fun and a fun car ride. Today we went to the Burntwood River where they have beautiful painted Wolf statues (Spirit Way "Wolves Along the Way"). We had a nice walk to the river and another fun car ride. We even pulled into this little building where water & soap poured down on our SUV. It was so funny! We have had a few hot days but it's still getting pretty cool at night so unlike my cousin Jelly, we can't plant our flowers yet as they might freeze. It won't be like that in BC!
Now it's bedtime and I get to snuggle in those comfy blankets up by mummy again. Hope all pups are enjoying the summer! *tail wagging* *woof woof*
