In the past, I always had Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes. I love dog sledding! As time went by we decided we would get a house dog. I had no idea what kind of dog to get. We went away to Denare Beach for a weekend and when I booked into the hotel, there was a picture ad on the bulletin board for Shar-Pei puppies. Well, that was that...I had to go see. They even let me take two of the pups back to my hotel for a few hours to help us decide which puppy to choose. That night, my daughter said I talked in my sleep saying "a puppy to love!"...so I have my puppy to love and she sleeps on my bed with me and we love her to pieces.
Bio:
My mum didn't know what to put under friendliness. I am extremely affectionate to my family, but not too keen on strangers. I am the protector of my family and my family's house, so I don't always come across as being affectionate, but I really am. I just love my family so much, I have to protect them! Once I see mum likes you...I like you too! So far, mum likes everyone who comes to our house! I am a very good doggie. I was house broken from the moment I arrived home at 8 weeks old. The only time I ever had an accident in the house is when I am sick. My mum read that Shar Peis self house train themselves. Also, I know the difference between my toys and my mum's stuffed animals. I only chew on what has been given to me as a toy. I also am excellent company for my mum. When my mum gets to sleep in, she wakes up and we look at each other, and we both go na! we're not getting out of bed yet, and we both close our eyes and go back to sleep. I also love snuggles and kisses. What a great girl I am! My humans at birth called me "China Doll". Two of my siblings had to have their eyes stitched open...any other Shar Pei's that had this, my mum would like to hear more about this, she was scared of eye problems as one pup had an eye infection too. My eyes were fine though.

We moved back to Thompson, Manitoba. The winters are colder & longer, so I'm not crazy about that, but we have an R2000 home that is toasty warm inside, so that's the main thing! We also have central air for the summer and a heat recovery ventilation unit (air exchange) so the air is nice & fresh all the time. Mummy is having another fence built and it's just about done...but considering she has had the wood since July, it sure is taking a long time to get it completed. I can't wait because I want to run around the yard! I get to go for lots of walks everyday though so that's ok, not as nice as running free though! I do not like laminate floors so mommy got a nice sheepskin rug for me to sleep on and puts clean blankies on top of it every week so it's always fresh for me. She brought my dog house from the old house and is getting my own enclosure for it too. It is really nice to have my human sister around now too. Mummy put the hot tub in the back yard but I do not think I will try that out...I"ll leave that for the humans! She had a-base put down where the pool goes, so when she takes the pool up for the winter it doesn't smell like a hog barn! So, as you can see, I'm a happy pup-pei! All is good with the world.

My Christmas Elf name is WACKY BED-HEAD! Can you imagine! How does Santa's elves know my favourite thing to do is sleep in bed...but wacky...well I never! BOL!
Mummy's name is ZIPPY BED-HEAD! She loves sleeping in her bed too! Zippy, though...that I'm not so sure of.
You would think Elves' names would be sugar toes or plum something but bed-head...all I can say is it fits!
