Like the title says, I've been tagged! Here are the rules for the seven dogs I will tag!
When you get tagged, you write a diary entry with seven interesting facts about you! You then go tag seven more dogs by giving them a rosette or a pawmail.
See? Isn't that simple? Here are my seven fun facts-
1. My real name is Abigail.
2. I was adopted by my mom after the neighbor found me in their yard and thought I was my mom's other dog (now my sister), Summit!
3. My family consists of me, my two pawrents, my sister, two goats and a few chickens.
4. I like to jump on people while they are in the hammock in the back yard and scare them!
5. I'm basically the only dog bred for hunting who's afraid of a gunshot (eep!).
6. I always find a way to get into places I'm not meant to be (example- the house when important guests are over)
7. My favorite place to play is in the woods by our house. It's so much fun!
So there you have it. Seven interesting facts about me! Now here I come to tag the following dogs-
Aggie
Ocean
Champy
Digger
Stitch
Tommy and
Tucker
It's in the same tune and title as I'd Like To by Corrine Bailey Rae, but different words about my Dogster family and a special friend.
Standing by your side
Reminds me of these days,
Me and Summit waking up to a heatwave
CJ's in the garden, inviting everyone,
We'd cut off our collars an go outside.
Marvin's always smiling with Logan on his knee,
Keira sits on the front step getting her fur brushed out and greased.
Rufus plays his favorite song, it's booming from the street,
Got that cool song on repeat.
Chorus: I'd, I'd, like to put my paws on yours,
I, I, like to be called a friend by you.
Sometimes, you are, such a crazy dog, but don't worry
You will always be a pal,
And you can party with me!
(Laughing)
Growing up, the dog treats came a-plenty,
We spend our days having parties in the yard,
Plastic bowls filled with water
Eating chicken that's hot and sweet,
Francis and Indy talking 'bout love,
Oo, you know the way I mean.
And then I met you, had a crush, but being friends is close enough.
Got that cool song on repeat.
Chorus
Your warm smile shines on me
Like the summer sun,
Your tight hug keeps my happy
Like my close family
As Summit and I leap
From the hot tin roof
Down into the pool,
Life is simple for a dog
When this is your life!
Chorus x2
Chorus fades out
Digger the Golden is the friend featured in this song! Hope you like it!
Diary, I was thinking of tearing out my last entry but I said I'd keep memories in here so I won't. Okay, it didn't work out between me and Digger. What happened was mostly my fault and I want to take responsibility for that. When we were dancing, I asked him to be my boydog, but he wasn't ready to be a boydog to anyone again. I said I would understand any response, but I guess I didn't live up to my word. 'Cause I just pulled away and ran off in tears. When I came back down, he was gone. I sat crying and then fainted in my cousin's paws. When I woke up again, I remembered what happened and was heartbroken by the fact...I had lied to him and to myself. I had ruined the chance. This is totally my fault. But I sent him an apology Pawmail and now we're just close friends. I guess it just wasn't meant to be. But my question, Diary- should I wait until he is ready to love, or should I move on and look for a boydog. *sigh* Love is so complicated, isn't it, Diary?
And today it's very windy! Coming onto 60mph, the trees and power lines are falling, power's being knocked out across Maryland and Virginia, you can barely walk without being blown off course and it seems to be 20 degrees colder than it really is! Summit and I went outside today and the wind was so strong I fell over. Summit, who weighs a lot more than me, just got her ears touseled around and managed to pick me up and we trudged along. Usually I enjoy my morning walks but today it was brutal! I could barely walk through the woods without being blown into a tree and I saw a poor bird trying to fly to its nest but the wind was just making it fly in one place. I wished I could fly so I could take it out of the air and put it in it's tree-home. Oh, now Summit has left the window open! I have to go now before Mom gets home and sees the window open. I'll write again soon! And I may be shivering and wind-beaten, but I'm warm with the fact Digger's forgiven me and I have him as a friend for life!
