Arrival Story:
Mom and Dad adopted Alex from a local rescue group. They noticed he was a little sad because he was used to being around a lot of other dogs. They decided to find him the perfect companion. Although I'm not perfect, I fell for Alex the minute I saw him. What a HUNK! How could you not love that adorable face. Plus, he lets me take treats out of his mouth and he doesn't care...dumb dog ;) So the rescue group needed to rescue me from the Humane Society because my time was up. I sat in a kennel for 2 weeks and they offered to "foster" me. Little did I know how much I could fool my new mom. I had her convinced I was the smartest dog although I managed to eat my way through the dry wall in the garage and destroy a few more things. Dad was really mad at me but Mom just kept saying how perfect I was (of course she did mention, for Alex). I went to some training classes and got a little better but I did act up a few times because I didn't like anyone approaching my Alex. Anytime any other dog got near him, I would get green with JEALOUSY! I've gotten better but not perfect. I've been here for 7 years now, so I think I am staying.

Bio:
Our neighbors always seem to cross the street when they see Dad walking Alex and I. But Dad's taken me on a few walks alone (shhh! don't tell Alex) and people come up to me. How dumb are they? Alex is the affectionate one, me on the other hand, I am a little less affectionate and more on alert. I look like a mutt but believe me, I have those purebred traits running through my veins! Oh well, I haven't done anything other than growl once (or twice) My mom and dad recently brought home Zeus and Zach. Although, I'm not crazy about them (I try to ignore them, believe me), I'm getting used to the idea that they are going to stay. You've probably wondered why Mom doesn't post more pictures of me and my "luv" Alex. It's not her fault! Basically, it's because we aren't as good as Zeus and Zach. Everytime we are looking cute, and Mom brings out the camera we move! We have a hard time sitting still when the camera comes out...guess we're a bit camera shy =)) Sadly, Cassie passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2010. Although she was 12, she was a young 12. There is a hole in our family that can not be replaced. I hope she's enjoying the rainbow bridge with her soul mate Alex.
