Labor Day and Hurricane Katrina

I can totally get used to this Labor Day thing... especially if it means BOTH Mum and Daddy get to stay home with us! EVERY DAY should be labor day. On the other hand, mum says if she doesn't go to work she can't earn any money to take us on fun trips to PetsMart to buy treats. I guess it's just one of those things I'll have to accept.

On a sadder note, it makes me and our family really depressed to think about all the animals who are homeless due to the hurricane. We found a really great animal charity we wanted everyone to know about: http://www.noahswish.com

Here's something they had to say on their site:
“Yesterday, we found a Chihuahua sitting in a kitchen sink,” said Terri Crisp, Founder and Director of Noah’s Wish. “The waters in the house rose so high, the poor little guy got swept into the sink, where he remained when the waters receded.” The Chihuaha was taken to the temporary animal shelter where he was checked by a veterinarian and provided food, water and a much-needed warm bed. All animals coming into the shelter will be tracked and Noah’s Wish hopes to be able to reunite owners with their four-legged family members."

My sad, sad story

It's tough being me. A few weeks ago, my mum took me to the vet. I didn't like that much. I get scared of people... especially strangers with needles! Ouch! I did really good though and stood on the cold table and got shot in my behind. Then I got a little squirt of cheese wiz. Man, that was the best. I want my mommy to feed that to me all the time now.

The vet also has some bad news for my mum. She told her that I only have one testicle. :( The other one is stuck in my tummy, and probably won't "drop" since it hasn't already in my first year and several months of life. I heard them talking about getting something cut off, but mommy was trying to cover my ears and was distracting me by offering treats. I think something is up.

I'll keep you posted when I find out what is going on.
