Likes:
Stella loves anything stinky, especially dirty socks. She likes licking ears and biting toes, and will do both at 3am when she's decided that it's time to play. She adores car rides, especially out to the beach! She loves her half-bro, Zevi, very much!

Pet-Peeves:
Stella hates being left alone, and promptly brings us whatever item she has managed to destroy while we are gone ( mostly socks ). She also gets frightened when big dogs run up to her, and demands to be picked up until she gets to know them.

Favorite Toy:
Anything pulled from the ( dirty ) laundry basket!

Favorite Food:
All kinds of meat . . . and ice cream!

Favorite Walk:
Scottsdale Pond ( where the ducks are! )

Best Tricks:
sit, touch, dance, sneeze ( although it's really funny when she tries to dance and sneeze at the same time )

Arrival Story:
Mom was having Empty-Nest-Syndrome ( a result of one daughter in college, and one soon to follow ) and decided that she needed a baby in the house. We already have two big dogs, so she started researching smaller breeds. The Havanese came up in several searches, and Mom fell in love with the breed when she went to the local Dog Show and met one in person. Everything we learned about Havanese came true in Stella! She is an absolute joy, and can hold her own in a family of four people ( not including guests), a cat, two big dogs, two parakeets, and a parrotlet.

Bio:
Stella is very expressive and intelligent, and she has an innate understanding of when someone ( especially one of the family ) is not feeling well. Because of her tiny size ( she just broke ten pounds! ) and sweet demeanor, we are considering training her to be a 'companion animal' so that she can visit hospitals, primarily the pediatric ward. She has brought so much joy into our lives that it would be criminal not to share her with others.
