FINALLY, THEY'RE GONE, AND I'M AND ONLY ONCE MORE!! - ROO-RRROOO!!

Well, my furiousins and the bird have finally gone back home, their humans are back from Croatia sunkist and tanned, they had a good time. I didn't
think those two weeks would ever end. Geeeesh, I must admit I like having
my humans to myself. At first it's kind of fun, they bring their toys and
their great big cushie bed --- ahhhhhhh -- a little beagle could get lost on
that, LOL!! But, after a while it gets a little aggravating, everytime you
go to get up and chill out in your favorite chair, bench, bed you start
feeling like Goldilocks, someones always sleeping in it, then you're
always having to share the time with your humans, I like being the
SPOILED CHILD!!! The one great thing though, was they get homecooking.
My human gal was cooking up a storm and I looooovvvvvveeeeeee that
stuff. I've got that one figured, I decided to act like that stuff I was
eating just isn't any good any more, hee hee heee!!! I'm now getting
homecooking ROOOOOO -- ROOOOO --- ROOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! So,
life is really good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IT'S THE DOG DAYS OF SUMMER AROUND HERE!!!

Yep, it's definitely the dog days of summer around here. But, that doesn't
mean what you think it does. You see, every summer my family's daughter
and hubby go to visit his family for two weeks and their dogs, (my furiousins)
get to stay here. It's good and bad. For the most part we all get along with
the exception of that LOLA, (she's a little Boston), she thinks she can waltz
right in and take over my household, HUH!! She thinks she is the center
of attention --- I told my other furiousins that she needs to learn that is
MY PLACE. Geesh, some people never learn. But day one I told her and
that has been understood, well, kind of anyway, I still catch her trying to
take over. Despite it all we sure have fun, there are all of these extra dog
beds all over and toys galore, everyone is grabbing toys and chasing each
other through the house, barking at each other and just having a good old
time. The other great thing is they get homecooked meals, so, you know
who is eating with them, ME,a-rooo-rooo, I love it. Now, when they leave
I think I'll act all snooty and see if I can't get my guardians to continue it
for me. It's just soooooo good, today will be beef heart and brown rice,
who knows what else, I'm loving it anyway and I've got my game plan
figured out. I will, though, make sure after they leave that I'll refuse my
food but make sure I bat my eyelashes and flip my ears around and act all hungry, that ought to do it, LOL, don't ya think??? Sometimes our humans are
such pushovers.

Well, I hope all of you are have a summer filled with fun like I am!! I
gotta go, we are all going out to the fenced in section to play now --
my humans made the mistake of starting a new raised garden area -
my furiousins thought it was a sandbox to dig in, ooooppppsss, glad
my family didn't have it planted yet, I'm beginning to think maybe
they need to reconsider this idea. Okay gonna go play!!!

LIFE IS REALLY ROOOO -- RUUUUFFFFF RIGHT NOW!!

Life right now is really hard. March 30th my dear surrogate mom, Sasha,
went to the Rainbow Bridge and on Thursday July 12th my favorite
cousin Bruiser joined her. The vet thinks that it was some more of that
nasty food, he died a horrible death, it's just sooooo stupid that in this
day and age this kind of thing is happening to us fur kids!!! Our families
worry and research then spend lots of money to feed us then despite
all their efforts there are still jerks out there murdering us with their
nasty secrets they throw in our food. You can understand and imagine
and some of you can identify with the deep hurt and anger this brings
a family, life without my cousin Bruiser just won't be the same. We
all miss him sooooo much. He was such a happy boy, made these cute
little monkey noises, he was always jumping up and down with joy, he just
had soooooooooo much personality, life without him is just not gonna be
as happy!! I really feel extra bad for his human mommy, she was there
and helped deliver him, he went to the hospital on her birthday and
died the following day.

I really am hoping the vet can get to the bottom of this problem -- Bruiser
was like the 6th dog in about a week or so that this has happened to and
he is 99.9999.....% sure it is the food. He is contacting everyone for a
food list for the last 6 months, hope he can figure it out!! We dogs need
someone to look out for us!!

Well, guess this is my gggrrrrrief stricken diary entry. Hope you
forgive me but I just had to voice my sorrow!!

WHAT'S THE DEAL?

Gee, my barn cat buddy - H.T. - and I were having a farm gossip
session -- he keeps me updated on what's going on -- (guess he
thinks he is mayor of the farm) - BOL. Anyway, he told me that
Ms. Nahnah had a couple new kittens and they are sooooo cute,
then these Toulouse Geese that live here have been walking
around with these three little puff of something, not sure
what they are - H.T. says they are goslings - baby geese. I haven't
figured out what the deal with them are though. I was standing
in my play area when they decided to pass by , of course being
a sociable kind of girl, I ran up to the fence to say hi and take a
better look at these three fuzzy puffs but good gravy you should
have heard all the hissing those big old geese made -- kept trying
to put the bite on me through the fence -- (certainly not very cordial
old things) but I'm a "dog" I'm too smart for that but I must confess
I wouldn't mind playing with one of those little puffs!! They just look like they'd be lots of fun !!

Today my humans took my collar, I thought oh no bath time but to my happy surprise they brought me some pretties for my collar, one is a
St. Francis medal and the other is this adorable little paw print,
it made me feel really special. Once they gave back my collar it made
this pretty jingle noise, I loved it, had to run all through the house
showing it off, it's sooooo woofunderful to be loved.

IS THAT FOR ME???

Hey, what is that you're holding, that soft fuzzy thingie that goes squeak, looks
kind of rainbow colored, hmm, looks like one of those frog critters, is that
for me? Really, oh I love it, squeak, squeak, shake, shake, toss, yep, I like
this thing, come on let's play!!

I didn't think yesterday could get any better with the new toy but then my
family's daughter came to visit and brought my two cousins Frankie and
Lola. Lola is a high spirited Boston and she can get on my nerves, Frankie
is a big Black Lab and for the first time since my surrogate mom passed
away I felt like playing. We had a good game of buffalo and chase. I bossed
them around and then we ran back and forth all through the rooms, first me chasing them and then them chasing me. It was so much fun, forgot what
fun is, I still miss Sasha though but I think it hurts a little less. My family
was sooooooo happy to see me play again, they were beginning to think
depression had taken over for good.

One other thing, I have a whole bunch new pup pals, a great bunch of
tail waggers, I'm so happy, I look forward to getting to know all of
them.

Hey, somethings going on in the back patio area, I hear something, what
they doing? That thingie is smoking and yummmmmmm, it sure smells good,
I'd better go supervise, maybe I can get them t0 sharing, I'll be batting
my eyelashes and flipping my ears, they think I'm so cute and irresistible
when I do that. Gotta run!!!

Woof,Woof,A-roo,

ROO,ROO, A-ROO, IS IT SAFE TO COME OUT YET???

Woof, woof, a-roo --- is it safe yet, is it all over? Wow, that was some
day and evening yesterday. It got very dark (very early), then there
were these loud booms and flashes of light, if that weren't bad enough
there were these eeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr,eeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrr,eeeerrrrrrrrrrrr noises, my human said it was sirens, seems it means that some
nasty big whirlie thingie is coming, (thank goodness it didn't - already
lived through one of those), but there were these big round white marble
things bouncing all over and making such loud pings as they bounced off
of things. My poor friend Sassy was out on the back porch, she's a
cat that lives in the big barn, and she was sooooo scared my human
guy had to take her to the barn cause she was just too scared to go
by herself, she was happy to see the other members of her kitty family
he said. Anyway, Woof,Woof,Woof I'm so glad that it is over and
that beautiful ball of golden light in the sky is shinning!! All looks clear today.
Can't wait till Sassy comes to my area to play, we got lot of notes to
compare after all of that noise yesterday!!! Gee, the only ones around
here that seem to appreciate it were those crazy geese, they splashed
and played no matter how hard things came down, crazy feather critters!!

I'm looking forward to having a wonder-roo day!!

WOOHOO WENT BYE BYE TODAY!!!

What a beautiful, sunny, warm day it was! I spent lots of time out
in my play area, got to keep an eye on all the neighbors, the birds
and also play with those barn kitties. Later on my human asked if
I wanted to go bye bye with them, wow, couldn't wait, ran to the
door and couldn't wait to get on the road. The only trouble was
once we were I started missing home, guess I'm just not much of
the traveling kind of beagle unless is by foot, think I would have
rather been snoozing on my bed!! Oh well, they tried!!

NOTHING LIKE A VISIT WITH A FRIEND!!

It was a much warmer day today, thank Heavens!! My friend Sassy, one of
the barn cats, came to visit with me in my play area. We have a great time
together exchanging farm gossip about the other barn cats, talking about
those noisy geese and wondering just how many new babies will hatch
when the time comes plus Sassy and I share a favorite hobby --- BIRD WATCHING!!!!!!! Sassy got up on the top of the post to be the look out and we watched for all those wonderful feathered birds!! So many to see, red bird, blue jays, redtailed hawks, even an eagle now and then not to mention lot
of other birds. Sure had a great day for it and it was sooooo much fun visiting
with Sassy!!! Nothing like sharing time with a friend!!

SNOW, SNOW AND MORE SNOW!!

I'm so excited that I am finally a member of Dogster, my cousins Bruiser
and Lola have been for a long time and they tell me that everyone here is
so nice, I can't wait to meet you all!!

Wow, did anyone else wake up to snow? Here we are it was almost summer type
weather the other day and today an inch a snow, how is a girl suppose to know
what to prepare for when that door swings open.

I hope that any of you that have lost someone close to you tell me how to handle it. You may have noticed the picture of me with the Black Lab, Sasha.
She was my surrogate mom when I first came home. Last Friday she passed away and I have been having a hard time dealing. If any of you have any suggestion on how to adjust let me know. My cousin Gracie Lou Lou Bell has come to visit today to cheer me up, I was really happy to see her but it's still not quite the same.
