Easter Weekend..

Had a pretty good weekend..Mom was home from work a couple extra days and did we ever make the most of it!! Yesterday she finished making my new bed..comfy! It's just like the blanket I steal off the couch and her pillows (which I learned how to sneak off the bed!! )
I also went to Grandma's for Easter dinner where I got to check out the country scents. Grandma has some rabbits that live in the forest beside her and man, did I get excited. Mom had me on the long line but it still wasn't long enough for me..I wish we could have followed that scent all night but Mom said she didn't want to go traipsing through the woods after dark so we had to stick around the property for the most part. That was okay tho.. 'cause Grandma's got a fireplace and even tho I wasn't sure of the noises coming from the big thing on top, I really liked the warmth. It was the perfect place to nap on my new bed. (Mom even has this huge bag so I can take my bed everywhere!)
Today we went down to the store (more treats!) so Mom could pick up some stuff for me, Sasha and Jazmyn and I got a new harness. Mom didn't like the way the long line pulls on my collar..or the way I pull on my collar when I'm on the long line. Then it was off to the dog park!! There were a ton of other dogs. I got a little picked on because nobody else had to wear a stupid leash and I was the new guy but I just used my big voice to tell them off. I whined a little to ask mom to take off the lead but she wouldn't. So I made her run to keep up with me...ha! that'll teach her! It was kinda a good thing she left it on tho..a couple times I got a little distracted by the river... and birds... and squirrels.. and I kinda forgot to listen...
I met a really nice sheepdog named Higgens..he was a blast. We kept running and jumping and I held my own even tho Higgy's twice my weight! His owner says they always go about the same time so next time Mom's off we're gonna go again and see if we can catch them. The only bad part is Higgy drools a little so Mom is making me take a bath. I guess it's okay tho. I made a new friend and Mom always spoils me after a bath. Well, time for a quick nap on my new bed..all that running made me tired! Hope everyone else had a great weekend!

Mom's so proud of me!

Mom had a surprise when she came and got me from daycare this week! I got picked as Dog of the Month!! It started out as an awesome day anyways..first I got to go to daycare. It was arts and crafts day and when I got there, Brody was there!! Brody is my best friend. We bonded at daycare since we have a lot of the same issues.. Now, if our mommies know which day we're coming, they try and book the same day.
Anyways, Brody's mommie was going to take him home but once I showed up she decided to leave him so we could have the day together. Then, I found out I was dog of the month. The girlz gave me a new bandana (yellow-so I matched Brody! We looked hot together) and I got treats! They looked just like a donut (Mom never shares hers!). I still had one in the care package Mom got to bring home and she laughed at the way I ate it..I don't know why really, it's the same way she eats them. I ate all the "icing" off first and then the biscuit part.
Mom also got her first nice photo of me (awake). I don't like the camera, normally I hide or make funny faces. Mom always says it looks like I'm being tortured so she has to take pics when I'm sleeping. She showed it to Grandma, who showed it off to the ladies she works with. Mom just kept telling me how cute the pic was..I may have to change my mind on this camera thing..that picture seemed to come with a LOT of extra treats...Hmm, I'll have to let you know how that goes!!
