Leave a bone for BOY DOG

Nicknames: Boy Boy

Quick Bio:
Likes: Running around the neighborhood and chasing other animals

Pet-Peeves: Being tied up so he doesn't run away or dig his way out of the yard. He is petrified of fireworks.

Favorite Toy: Stuffed toys and chew bones

Favorite Food: He is very particular but he will eat anything I feed the other dogs. He likes dog biscuits and melba toast. He doesn't eat peanut butter much.

Favorite Walk: ANYWHERE Outside

Best Tricks: None really

Arrival Story: Boy Dog used to run wild in my sister-in-law's neighborhood. She kept telling me that this "Boy Dog" used to squeeze through her fence and eat her dog's food. Every now and then over a period of a year and a half, she would mention that Boy Dog visited the girls ( her dogs are both female).
One week-end, when she and I were driving through her neighborhood, I finally got to see Boy Dog. He was so handsome and stately ( in my opinion) I felt a tug at my heart and fell instantly in love. However, I couldn't stop and get him nor did I ask my sister-in-law to stop. I had 4 dogs at home at that time. Porsha, Baby, Little Feet and Sweetheart.
About 6 months after seeing him for the first time, I was asked to dog sit for my sister-in-law and brother's dogs. That evening, I went to let her babies out (Charmaly and Colby) and there he was eating food from their bowl. I noticed he had his paw up as though it was injured. I didn't know his temperment so I approached him cautiously. He let me pick him up and I took him to the emergency vet. They said it was an old injury. I wanted to find him a good home because I had my hands full with my 4 at home. The technition at the hospital wanted him because he reminded her of her dog who had just passed away. I told her if for any reason she couldn't keep him to call me and I would take him home. About 2 weeks later, she called and I kept him. He is my only male.

Bio: Boy Dog ran loose for so long that he was a very good escape artist. He could dig his way out of any enclosure. For this reason, I put him on a tie out in the yard. He isn't very good around younger animals unless he has been introduced to them over a period of time. Because of this, I am very careful about letting him near strange dogs. He and Porsha take up a big chunk of my heart...
