Arrival Story:
I was born in West Virginia but my family didn't want me (I don't know why) so a nice lady became my foster mom and found me a good home in Ohio. I like my new home and my new brother, Teaspoon. I'm not sure if Teaspoon likes me as much as I like him yet. He's getting better though. I really like to play ball in my new back yard with my new family and I sure am glad to have a permanent place to call home.

Bio:
We wanted another small Yorkie mix as a companion for us and Teaspoon. So we searched the internet for a dog to rescue. We came across Shadow on petfinder.com. His bio said he was a 5 lb. Yorkie. After many emails, interviews and an application, we were approved to adopt him. It was road trip time.....we had to travel over 3 hours one way to get Shadow. When we arrived at his foster home, we discovered he was at least twice the size and not exactly a Yorkie. We adopted him anyway. He's such a nice dog and smart too. He's actually an Australian Terrier. He may have some other breed in there too. Teaspoon's having to make some adjustments. He's not too sure he likes having a new brother yet. Time will tell.......

Temper, Temper

Things with Teaspoon just keep getting better and better, however, my humans think I have a bit of a temper........... I don't like Riley next door. He's an Australian Shepherd and I fence fight with him. My human has started making me walk with him! She's bringing him along on our precious pack walks!!!! Ugggh! I try to bite him before we get started and I always get in trouble. I just try to ignore him during our strolls. My human thinks I'll start to treat him better if he comes along......... We'll see.........

The Holidays

Christmas was great this year. My new family gave me packages with fun stuff inside. I got a red, green and white chew rope and all different colored tennis balls. I also got some rawhides and cookies (doggie cookies). My new brother, Teaspoon has finally warmed up to me. We're the best of pals now (we have our squabbles now and then but what siblings don't). It's a blast to run around and chase each other in the snow. We like to put our noses in it and then shake it off when our humans let us back in. Yep, I like this new home and family.

My Cousin, Boots

At the end of a semi-long month, my cousin Boots will be going back to Michigan. He stayed with us while his human had and recovered from a major surgery (been there done that). Anyway, at first it was a bumpy ride. I didn't like that he constantly poked me with his nose wanting to play 24/7. Of course, he hadn't had his major surgery until a few days into his stay with us. After a few weeks things started to get better. He wasn't so annoying about always wanting to play and we actually found a way to play that's okay for both of us. His energy level has come closer to mine now that his hormones have subsided a bit. I think I will actually miss him some once he's back home. Teaspoon will be really glad he's gone because they don't get along well at all. However, since Boots has been here, Teaspoon and I have gotten along better. I guess I kind of understand now how Teaspoon felt when I moved in.
