Leave a bone for Cosmo Nicknames: Cosmonator, Moe-moe, The Moe, Moe, Cos, Momolicious, Moe-mee, Cosmosis, Cos moo-moo Quick Bio:
-purebred
Birthday: April 1st 1997 Likes: Getting attention from humans, walks, riding in the car with his head out the window, loves going to see the touchy-feely vet, the beach, licking your bare feet Pet-Peeves: Quincy tugging his body parts when he's trying to sleep, seeing us with the bottle of ear cleaner, not being able to go with us every single time we leave the house, delivery trucks (mom loves them), squirrels running along our fence Favorite Toy: Quincy Favorite Food: Hot dogs, no-salt canned green beans with his kibble, Dingo bones Favorite Walk: Neighborhood public park to stick his nose in squirrel holes; dog park to play with the Chinese Foo dogs, Flynn, Owen, and Olivia (F-O-O), who live directly across the street from us. Best Tricks: Paws open the kitchen cabinet when we're not home to check if the trash can needs emptying. Blocks the door from the inside when we're outside trying to get in. Arrival Story: We got Cosmo after seeing an ad in the paper. The puppies all looked so cute and we had recently lost our dear Duster, our first Golden boy (not pictured), due to natural causes. Husband picked the puppy with the most "personality" and that is what we got indeed! Cosmo came home to become buddies with our beloved Butch. Bio: Cosmo was diagnosed with hip displaysia in both hips at eight months of age and received a total hip replacement on the worse one shortly after he turned one year of age. In April, 2004, he had TPLO knee surgery, fought a bacterial infection on the surgical site until August, 2004 (four months), and had three ear hematomas that had to be removed and stitched up like a quilt. An oral sarcoma was also discovered on his front jaw and after consulting with a specialist who wanted to remove part of his jaw, we did some research, listened to our hearts, and opted not to do anything aggressive and proceeded with his knee surgery. HE LIVED FIVE MORE YEARS. Through all his mishaps, Cosmo never lost his spunk and positive attitude. Cosmo loves going to see his vet and getting attention from everyone there. He also believes that everyone who comes to visit us at home comes just to see him! He's so used to all the cats that he could care less!
**AUGUST 22, 2009 - Our brave and sweet boy made his journey to the bridge at the age of 12** Forums Motto: The Cosmonator
I want to thank my friends for stopping by to remember me on the two-year anniversary of my Rainbow Bridge Day. I know it means alot to my Mom and Dad.
Huey is giving my Mom and Dad lots of love and joy, but in the middle of all of that are flashbacks of the days when both Quincy and I were with them. It really wasn't that long ago, and they will always miss us along with those before us.
Time passes by so quickly, but nothing will ever change the fact that I was a special part of their lives. I will continue to live forever in their memories, dreams and hearts.
My angel pals are calling me to get back to the party now so I have to go, but I'll be around, even if you can't see me!
Sending birthday thanks and love to my pals who stopped by to celebrate my special day today!
I really appreciate your pawmails, comments, and gifts. Your messages are really special to me and my family.
I don't know about Dad, but I know that not a single day goes by that Mom doesn't think about me and all her Angels. She'd be happy if we were ALL there with her, including the new dood!
August 22nd was my one-year Bridge anniversary. Mom wanted to help me write a diary entry but she couldn't bring herself to do it that day, so instead she made sure I had a nice new page.
I know I am thought about alot and my name is often mentioned in the house. While my parents had just started grieving over me last year, Quincy was diagnosed with lymphoma, then my kitty sister Mercy was diagnosed with kidney disease. Too bad none of these diseases are things that can be cured with just a pill.
There are pictures of me around the house and a gazillion more on the computer so I will never be forgotten and have a permanent place in my parents' hearts.
Dad has said to Mom that they need to remember to focus on being grateful for every moment we had together, whether it was weeks, months or years, but most of the time that's easier said than done. My Dad says this but I know he misses me alot because I was one of his boys.
I sure hope I don't see Quincy anytime soon. My parents have never been dogless and it's been years since they've only had one dog in the family, but Quincy needs and deserves all their undivided attention, aside from all those cats in the house!
