Today I celebrated my 8th birthday in heaven with all my angel pals. With all the noise going on, Mom made sure she read your messages to me loud enough so I could hear!

I want to thank Angel BooBoo, Zaidie, Chewy & Leia, Roscoe & family, Sadie Boo, the Morris Pack, Sophie Claire & Harley Davidson, Riley, Abbie & family, Rocky, KJ & family, Eddie & Sonny, and Jakie for your fun, sweet, thoughtful, and loving gifts to honor the wonderful day I was born. It really feels good to be remembered.

Mom told Huey it was my birthday today and dedicated their walk tonight in my honor. Dad says that Huey is a mama's boy but that's because he's working nights. I know Huey also loves Dad, and he's been doing a good job of bringing laughter back into their lives when it felt like they had forgotten how to laugh.

Come to think of it, this is the first time my parents have raised a puppy together as an "only dog". When they got married, Dad had a two-year old Golden Retriever named Duster (after the car), then came Butch, Cosmo and me.

We'll just have to see down the road if Huey stays an only dog, but we sure know they have enough cats.
