Birthday: December 25th 2006 Likes: He loves runing around in circles, climbing on our laps, taking naps, gnawing on ear lobes (we're working on that), hiding under the covers, picking up sticks and acorns and leaves.....he's pretty easily entertained! Pet-Peeves: He DOES NOT like to be in a room where we aren't and he does not like it when Daddy tries to uncurl his tail. Favorite Toy: His favorite toys are a squeaky dog (whose ear he has already chewed OFF) and a water bottle with a sock wrapped around it. Favorite Food: He only gets Purina PuppyChow....no treats 'cause he has a bit of a sensitive tummy. Favorite Walk: Out in our yard or at the park. Best Tricks: He has mastered our staircase (and the stairs are bigger than him, so I think that's pretty cool), he's GREAT at "fetch", and he can dance on his hind legs. Arrival Story: My husband and I were at a HUGE flea market in East Texas and I knew they had a large area with animals for sale ("adoption"?) and at first, I wanted to steer clear because I KNEW we wouldn't leave there empty handed... But we decided to head over there. There was one lady selling pugs, only 2 left in the litter, a boy and a girl...and since this was supposed to be my husband's dog, we chose the boy. (Although, I must say I would have taken both if we could have.) So, we paid our money and we took home our new baby! Bio: HOW VADER GOT HIS NAME:
We were going to name him "Otis", but somehow it didn't fit...and his dad's name was Otis, and we didn't want a "Junior". We just couldn't think of anything we liked that fit him. So my husband was holding the puppy and the puppy was breathing in the stereotypical pug way and my husband quipped, "You breathe like Darth Vader." I said, "That's it!! His name is Vader!"
