MY BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!

My 4th Birthday Party!!

WOW!! I have sssooooo many people and pups that love me!! After changing the date a couple of times because of my 'bad neighbors,' mom finally got it all together and we had a great time. I got some new friends this year. Mom has been hanging out with her grade school friends this last year, so they all came with their dogs!! I love meeting new people and pups!! We played games again and had lots of goodies that mom made. She really loves me!! Everyone got a prize and a doggie bag to take home. My friends stayed for 3 hours!! Boy were we tired. I slept for about 6 hours after everyone left!! Mom also emailed my brothers. They still live with my birth mom! One day I hope I can play with them, too! I can't believe I am 4 already!! It seems like just yesterday mom brought me home!!

My 3rd Birthday Party!

Once again Mom spoiled me with LOTS of goodies to play with and eat on my birthday. Then a few weeks later we partied!! I had a lot more 2-legged friends and family come this year and I had a couple more 4-legged friends. The forecast was rain on that day, but the weather was fine! We played, ate, played some more, ate some more........then it was time for everyone to leave and I took a LONG nap!! So did Mom after she cleaned up a little! I love my Mom. She is so great to me and loves me sssssoooooo much!!!

HAPPY 2008

Well, it's been a busy time these last few months! Christmas was great. Santa, mom, grandma, Cosmo, my aunts, great aunts, the neighbor, even mom's co-workers all got me wonderful things-------lots of chews, toys, balls, collars, and TREATS!!! It was a wonderful time. We got a little snow, so I was HAPPY! We just got a couple inches yesterday and me and mom just were playing in it for about 1/2 hour. It felt good to RUN--lately, it's been too cold to be out very long--5-10 minutes in the back yard is enought when it's -2 degrees with a wind chill of -20! My fur coat isn't that thick! I did have a little scare a few weeks ago. We were at one of our favorite hang outs--the dog run. There's a creek towards the back. Well, me being a lab, I always have to check out the water! I was about 15 feet from shore on the ice when it broke and down I went. I went totally under! I was a little scared because I couldn't get a good grip to pull myself up the ice. I get slipping. I finally pulled myself up. Mom couldn't come get me because she would've gone through, too. Not to mention of all days there was NOBODY around--there's usually a few people! I'm glad I didn't go back under a second time because Mom told me later she definitely would've come for me. I know she was scared, but she kept a brave face and just kept encouraging me. It all happened so quick. She told me if she had been looking away, she wouldn't have known where I went. At least I wasn't out where the creek was flowing! After I got to mom, she gave a big hug, told me 'good girl, I love you!' I gave a quick shake of that icy cold water and I was back to playing. By the time we got to the car, other friends had come. I played a little, but soon was pretty tired. I took a long nap (and I got lots of treats!) I think mom was very grateful nothing really bad happened to me. I curled up under the Christmas Tree and went to sleep. Although now the tree is gone-I'm a little sad. I love that thing! It's sooo cozy and pretty underneath! Mom said it will be back soon. Well, that's about all that's new. I hope everyone is happy and healthy. Please let me know how you are all doing!
