Hi my name is Rusty and this is my story:

I was born in Texas, I had 9 brothers and sisters! My family was poor and could not keep us so they turned us all into a high kill shelter. Five of my brothers and sisters were adopted quickly. No one wanted the rest of us. On my last day to be alive, one of the shelter workers called New Hope Cattle Dogs to try to save me and my brother and sisters. Before I knew what was going on, me and my brother and sisters went on a long car ride all the way to AZ. We went in a lot of different cars, one each hour. I was scared, I didn't know what was happening. When we got to AZ we got very very sick. The dogtor said we had Parvo. I was in the hospital for almost a week, but I survived! My brother Tyler and my sister Rosie did not make it out of the hospital. You can see them on my page.

My Mom and Dad drove from CA to AZ to pick me up and take me to my furever home. I was so happy, I had a brother and two sisters to play with. I had a hard start in life but now I am a very happy boy. My Mom is so grateful for all the people who came together to save my life, and so am I!
