Arrival Story:
Went to the pound looking for a dog for a friend. Saw Grrrrt and signed up for her right away. I think she was used for breeding purposes only, her body has an odd shape to it and her legs don't look like she ever spent time outside of a cage. She probably got sick and stopped going into heat so the jerks that bred her dumped her on the streets where she was picked up by animal control.

Bio:
Her age was listed as 3 years old, but x-rays revealed she was closer to 10 years old. The vets the pound used to spay her recommended that I have her put to sleep since she was so old and had a rare blood disease. She still wagged her tail so I took her to the emergency vet. They gave her 4 weeks to 4 months to live. I took her to MY vet and they put her on a blood thinning medication and she's been with me 5years now. She's off the medication and just as crabby as can be. She was with me 5 years to the day I paid her adoption fees. She suffered from kidney failure and was gently released to the rainbow bridge Monday, April 7. Even with her many brothers and sisters, that empty bed in front of me is the saddest thing I've seen. She had a good run since she was only given months to live back in 2003. I love and miss you Grrrt.
