I got a baby brother last week. His name is Cash and he's 4 months old. My daddy wanted to name him Sue (something about a song about a boy named Sue), but my mommy said no way! So, my daddy named him Cash after Johnny Cash. He said it was a good name since he is all black with a little white tie on his chest. My mommy and daddy rescued Cash from the pound. He is a lab mix. The best thing about having a little brother is that he likes to play "chase me", which is my absolute favorite game in the whole wide world. I love to run. Cash hardly ever catches me....if he does catch me, it's only because I let him. I'll ask my daddy to post some photos of Cash so you can see what he looks like.

I am getting a baby brother. I am so excited to have a playmate. My parents finally decided that it was time to get another dog after our experience last weekend. Last weekend, my daddy was taking me on a walk and we ran into a white German Shepherd puppy that was outside without his parents. My parents think the puppy was about 10 to 12 weeks old. The puppy followed us home. A neighbor took the puppy on a walk to see if she could find the owner. No one recognized him, so she brought him back to my house to play. The puppy and I played all afternoon. We had the best time. I wanted to keep him, but my mommy said he had his own home and his parents were probably worried about him. So, my mommy and daddy put a leash on the puppy and we all went on another walk around the neighborhood. One person recognized the puppy and told us where she thought he lived. So, we went to the house and no one was home. There was a for sale sign in front of the house. (I later learned that his owners had gone out of town for the weekend and left him to fend for himself!). A neighbor saw us and recognized the puppy - I learned that his name was Rocket. The neighbor took Rocket from my parents. He told my parents that Rocket's parents didn't pay enough attention to him and that the other neighbors were always taking care of him. So, my parents left their contact information for Rocket's owners....if they were interested in selling him to them. My parents haven't heard from Rocket's parents and have even gone over to his house a couple of times since then to talk to them, but no one has been home. Because we had such a good time playing together, my parents have decided that it's time to get another dog. Yippee! My mommy has been looking on-line for rescue puppies. We can't get an adult dog because of my sisters, who are all cats.
