Arrival Story:
I was picked up by animal control out in the boondocks of North Carolina when I was just 8 weeks old. I stayed in a stinky, loud kennel until my mommy rescued me. It was so nice to know that I would always have a loving home from then on.

My daddy is in the Marines so he is deployed a lot. I miss him when he leaves, but it's okay because then me and mommy get to play together all day long. I travel back and forth often from my home in North Carolina to Seattle. I have such a big family in Seattle. I love it there-there are lots of mud puddles and sometimes it even snows! I especially like all of the cool dog parks there.

Something is different around here...

Mom and Dad left for a few days and when they came back, something was different. The incredible growing mom had suddenly shrunken and dad was carrying a some kind of dog I've never seen before. It looked just like my parents, only smaller...much smaller. It smelled good. I licked it all over, until mom scolded me. Dad then introduced me as a big sister. WHAT?! I'm a big sister...really?? "This is baby Oliver, be nice". I then watched as mom and dad smiled at him and passed him back and forth. I guess I'm going to have to share the spotlight from now on. But mom still let me sleep next to her on the couch, so I was happy.

Fall is here!

I can tell it's time for Fall. It's gotten much cooler than it was before, which makes me happy because it means I get to play outside longer. Unfortunately there are not as many bugs now...however there are many more sticks and leaves on the ground for me to fling and chase. In the afternoon, Mom opens the front door and just has the screen door latched. I love it. I love to smell all the smells when a gust of wind picks up. Sometimes a cat even crosses through our yard, and I watch them until I can't see them anymore. I think Fall is my favorite time of year so far.

The swamp

There is a BIG puddle of water near my house. It's so big there are swimming creatures in it. Today it was so hot outside and it's aroma was pulling me closer. Mom shot a look at me and I think she knew what I was thinking. I heard her yell, "NO!" but I was already running full force towards it. OH, it was so good. The water almost went up to my neck. I just kept splashing and splashing around. I tried to get some of the funny creatures but they were just too fast for me. Once I was soaked, and smelling ripe I could tell mom was really mad at me. I ran home with a big smile on my face. Then mom ruined my new perfume by giving me a bath. Ugh! I hate baths!
