Camping!

Dear mom,
You took me on my very first camping trip and i LOOOOOOOOOOVED IT!
I got my leash tangled against everything which drove you crazzy, i love that. I know you couldn't let me off my leash like Carson, you know how i love to run in every direction far away from you and that scares you. I have a nose that leads me EVERYWHERE.. i mean there were smells, all kinds of them! On the way to the campground you let me hang my head out the window. (picture above) I sure liked that a lot, i smelled a dead skunk as we passed by too.

I was a very good dog despite eating through my flexi-lead leash and taking a few licks at your graham cracker you were using for smores. I did cry a lot that first night sleeping in the tent. I was hearing all kinds of noises and seeing peoples camp fires flicker against the tent. But you drove all the way back home for my crate and the 2nd nite i slept in it inside the tent with you and i felt really safe. I know you noticed i didnt bark, not even once! I didnt even run, bark or gowl at that guy on his skateboard. I know how surprised you must be mom that i was better at the campground than at home.

I love dirt, i love jumping high above the tall wheat grass we had to walk through to find the walking path next to the lake. I even liked watching fireworks and the stars way up in the sky! Next time you go camping mom, count me in!

Minks

Do you remember a few diary's ago i was talking about racoon's being in our trash cans and having smelled a skunk?

Grandma saw the skunk! Only it was no skunk! It looked a littler bigger than a ferret with a strange looking tail. We looked the animal up online and found out that it was a Mink! Can you believe that? We've seen a lot of animals in our backyards over the years but never gave thought to Minks. In fact the only thing i know about minks is that people use them for furs.

We hope to see it again although not in our yard or trash cans.

Meet tinker!

Mom was looking for a 3rd doggy to add to the pack and this lady asked mom if she would like tinker. However...the stories about tinker keeps changing and things arn't going well..

From what we can tell the family told us she was just a family pet but we found lots of background info about her that tells us otherwise. A breeder was selling off their breeding dogs and tinker was one of them. The lady claimed she was pregnant when she got her. Its a really mess. The most mess of it is shes not the healthy dog mom was told she was.

I sure like her a whole lot! when my doggy cousins were here i was so rough and played and play with them but with tinker im really gentle to her. I hope things work out for the best cause mommy really likes her a whole lot.
