Jimbo was born in Fresno in May of 1994 and was pick of the litter. He won Best of Breed in his first dog show. He was one of my best friends for 12 ½ years (a long life for a Bulldog). He was by my side through the good times and the bad. When Chad came into my life, he and Jimbo became instant buddies. So much so, that I became a bit jealous of their relationship! But it was a good thing, as I always told Chad that Jimbo and I are a ‘package deal’…. “Love me, love my dog!

Some of Jimbo’s favorites were eating mashed potatoes, playing soccer (with a basketball), biting ocean waves as they crashed on the shore, wrestling with Chad and walks through Marina. His favorite walk was from our condo to the bakery where he got homemade dog biscuits from Carl and Jeannie, then to the pizza parlor where he got Canadian bacon from Jay, then to the German deli where Lisa gave him roast beef that she saved especially for Jimbo, and finally to the local bar for a Slim Jim.

As Jimbo grew old and grumpy, he often reminded Chad and me with a growl that he wanted to be left alone. But when Ian came along, he showed a tolerance for a baby that impressed us. Jimbo let Ian poke, pull and hang on him without ever complaining.

Jimbo blessed our lives with love and laughter. He left an impression on everyone who met him. He will be in our hearts forever.

Mom and Dad took me on their road trip to the great northwest! It was fun, all that riding in the car. I love it! I even got to walk in some snow! It was pretty cold up there, but my blanket was always nearby.

I discovered compost!

Dad brought home some spent compost from a mushroom farm because apparently it makes for great fertilizer for the yard he's putting in. I thought he brought it home for me. After all, he put it all over my yard. Anyway, I rooted in it like a little pig for hours before Mom and Dad caught me. I didn't get in too much trouble until I threw up three times in the house. They weren't very happy with me. I won't be eating any more compost from now on!
