Well, I've been thinking lately.. thinking our family could use another dog. We would all like YOUR help in making the decision. First of all, help on deciding weather or not to go through with the whole thing, and then deciding on which breed to choose if we do
My main reason being that, Spunky is play play play, all the time. My other dog, Dixie, is more reserved and laid back. Spunky gets her wound up, and she tells him when she's had enough! It's funny seeing them two play together, everyone under estimates Spunky because he's so much smaller than her. They just don't know how feisty Corgis really are :)
I feel that Spunky needs more stimulation, and it also might help Dixie break out of her shell a little more. Of course, there's absolutely no rush to get one right away, but I do have plenty of time to devote to another dog. I have to take all of my animals (especially my two dogs) into consideration. I'd want to get another female puppy, for I feel they're easier to train, and I need a breed that will be good with other animals. I'm not very picky, but I do have a few breeds in mind; nothing small and fragile yet still able to be an inside dog. German Shepherd, Beagle, and Bluetick Coonhound are at the top of my list, just because I'm so familiar with those breeds. Siberian Husky (which I'm thinking might be a little TOO active for us) Flat-coated Retriever, or simply another mixed breed, which I would obviously to go the shelter for. I'd love to adopt either way, it's such a great feeling, so I'll start putting in breed requests at our local shelters soon. Let me know what you think, or if you have any other suggestions!
I should have known something was up the other day when I had to get a bath. Nothing good ever comes out of a bath
Yesterday, Mom lifted me up and put me in the car, we started out the driveway, and then I heard the awful news. "We're going to the vet!"
I had to get my routine shots, AND get my nails trimmed. I was not very happy about that. The vet easily made up for it though, she told me how adorable I was, rubbed my belly, and gave me a treat! Dixie was still angry, she just hid behind mom and wanted nothing to do with it, so naturally I took hers too :)
Mom has been trying to get in touch with my breeders for some time now, but has had no luck. Their phone number was not in service and their website had been disabled. After doing some thorough internet research, she found out they have been convicted of "puppy milling."

Naturally, mom is very angry. But I'm sure glad she got me out of there before I had become a victim of it! She said, everything checked out fine when visiting the property.. but you never know what happens behind closed doors. Here is a state listing of puppy mills, please be sure to check it out:
