Dear Diary:
So, I have been busy trying to take over the house here, but I have not been very successful. I try to rule the bed, but I have been blocked. Kebo has been nice to me, and those wheelchair dogs are not submitting to my command. So, I guess I have to give up. I am just another weinerdog.
The humans here had a baby human, a boy they call James. He gets all of the attention, and I don't like it. I want more attention! They don't let us in the living room any more- they have a gate up now keeping us all out. What gives?
So, in a couple of weeks, I will be 6 years old. I am getting older, but I'm still the youngest in the house. Hopefully it stays that way!

Dear Diary:
I will be 5 on August 14th. Wow, time flies! I hope I get some cool stuff like Auggie did!
Now, let's talk about the big bed. I like the big bed, and I don't like to share. I mean, I think the big bed should be all mine! Why should I share it with Riley or Kebo or Spartacus? Well, I try to reason with them (I bite them) and my Daddy puts me in my crate! How rude is that!

I was contacted by a friend about Buddy. Buddy was a dachshund that lived with an elderly lady and she could not handle his "dachshund personality". He was allowed to do whatever he wanted.
One day he inexplicably bit her on the lip! Well, she became afraid of him, which only makes things worse. So, he was kept at the vet until he could be placed in a new homr or (GULP!) put down.
I spoke to the ladies' daughter and arranged to pick him up. He is very nervous but he is such a funny fellow! He can jump, and I mean JUMP! I have not seen any issues with him biting but he is food agressive, so we will work with him on that.
Buddy is our 7th dachshund and our 6th rescue. It is so rewarding to know that I have spared his life. Saving the life of a great dog never gets old!

Dear Diary:
I have such a cool new home! The people are very nice and they love us dogs here. They have 6 other dogs that are like me! 2 use these funny things with wheels on them, and one is kinda mean to me. But the man lets me sit on his lap and I like that!
This is going to be a great place to live... Thank you for rescuing me!
