Valentines day

No chocolate again. Mom went to the fair. Mom has two friends Mike who has a chihuahua named Arrow and Joel with the lhaso/shitzu names Star. I am bigger than both of them. I want sister to get her beagle. Those little dogs yap and get on my nerves sometimes. I got a new stuffed toy for Valentines day. Mom always beats the age guesser at the fair. He always thinks Mom is younger than she is. That makes Moms day. We remembered last valentines day with Daddy. He took Mom to the fair that year too. I still miss Daddy. Mom does too.

Star

I have a new friend. His name is star. He is a lhaso apso/sithzu boy. My Mom brings him over with her new friend Joel. He has two daughters. One pets me and the other thinks I am an obnoxious drool bucket hound dog. What do teenage girls know about cool hound dogs? I can't wait for my sisters to visit. Does this mean I have four sisters?

Mommy

Mommy is out of work right now. I like it. That means she is home with me. Sometimes she goes to interviews, but she takes me to the dog park, walks, the store, Petsmart, friends houses. I won't like it when she goes back to work. She mentioned me being a therapy dog and getting to go with her sometimes. That would be really cool.
I miss Daddy. He would be helping mommy find a job. Mommy wouldn't be alone. I sleep with mommy every night. We fight over horizontal or vertical.

Grieving

I am doing better. I don't look for daddy anymore. I understand that Daddy is at the bridge waiting for me. what if mom gets a new daddy someday? He better love me and Mom. (and cat too) I sleep all night. I quit listening for dad to come home, so I rest.

Coping

Grandma and Grandpa are visiting. Grandma is feeding and walking me. Grandpa lets me ride in the van. We went to the dog park today. Grandma had never been. Sister was over here and was rude to Mom. I laid next to Mom until she felt better. That is my job, to lay next to mom. I love Mom. We havn't scattered daddy yet. Mom wants to wait until August which is his birthday.

Daddy update

I have a video honoring my beloved Daddy. He walked me, fed me, let me sleep on the bed, petted me and let me ride with him in the car. I don't know what I am going to do now. Mommy has to go back to work soon. I guess I can play with the cat. I lay next to his ashes. Mom says we are going to scatter them one day. How does a dog express how he feels?

My daddy died Saturday. I am in mouring. I am trying to be good to Mommy. I love her and miss daddy. R

Sams club

I got into trouble the other day. I puked in the car at sams club. Dad was cleaning it up and had the door open. I thought I was in trouble so I bolted. I headed for the tire department. I was almost home to the smells, when I heard a ZZZZTTTT noise. Mom was right on my butt. I jumped in terror and put the bassett paws in full motion. I made it into Sams club. Little kids thought I was underdog. Pandemonium. I was almost at the front door when Mom caught me by the collar. I found out that I was not in trouble for puking but for busting a move on mom. I still want one of those hot dogs.

vet

I had to go to the vet with the cat. She always acts like she is going to die. She told me that she got spayed there. I had a good time until they took my temperature. I don't do that. No paws, no butt. Dad said they had to check me for worms. I don't have worms. Ewwww!

Dog weekend

Saturday had a thunderstorm and rain- no walk, shivered in terror until the apocalype is over. Sunday went riding with mom and dad and barfed in the car. I got out in the sams parking lot and busted a move into the store. I smelled the food. I was going to make it short legs on the move. Mom caught my collar and back in the car I was. I was not happy. I had to wait while they bought the biggest bag of dog food ever. I guess they still love me. I just wanted to check out the food aisle and see all the people. What was the harm in that? We also looked at some houses in Coachman Ridge and the one mom likes on coachman ridge is still available. Yeah!
