Quick Bio:
-mutt-pound dog

Likes:
Running, playing with other dogs, riding in the car, having her tummy rubbed

Pet-Peeves:
She hates being ignored, thinks the vacuum cleaner is a big scary monster, would like to go out more and more and more.

Favorite Toy:
A stuffed hippo

Favorite Food:
Liver biscotti

Favorite Walk:
She loved running free in a drainage channel, but decided she didn't like to come back, so now she does her running in the new fenced-in temporary dog park.

Best Tricks:
Chewing the furniture (we're having discussions about that)

Arrival Story:
We had been looking for a dog for awhile, realizing that our other dog was getting pretty old and wouldn't be around forever. I also wanted a dog that would get me out walking. I found her photo on -- link removed -- and fell in love instantly. It was those mismatched ears that did it!

Bio:
They say her previous owner was homeless and was "picked up in a police sweep." I assume he's in jail since he was "unable to pick her up again." She's a love of a dog whose only bad habit is that she likes to eat furniture when bored or frustrated. Sheila has her own blog which is updated each day, on the same page as her person's daily journal.

A guy named Dave came to my house yesterday. He had a big bag with him. I was very excited to see him and I jumped up to tell him hello. Was I ever surprised! He stuck his big knee in my chest and yelled "NO!" at me. I didn't know what to do, so I sat down and looked at him. He told me I was a good girl for sitting.

Then he put me on a long leash. I was very happy. Walk time! But he didn't take me for a walk. He said "Down!" I didn't know what to do, so he said "No!" and snapped my collar. I finally decided to lie down and he told me what a good dog I was.

He did that lots of times and I finally just started lying down whenever he said "down." It was better than getting my collar snapped.

Later he went outside and imagine the nerve of him! He wouldn't let me run out into the street, but he made me stay inside the house until he invited me outside. Then we went for a walk and he expected me to walk right by him instead of running ahead.

I don't know if I like Dave, but it was better to do what he asked me to because every time I did, he gave me lots of loves and told me I was a good dog.

I like lots of loves.
