Arrival Story:
Snickers was bought into the Barlee's Angels rescue group through the SPCA. She was brought into the shelter by her previous owner because "it was her husband's dog and he didn't want her anymore".. When she was brought in, her collar was embedded in her neck, she was covered head to toe in excretment and dirt and she was extremely submissive. She was very close to being put down, but a wonderful lady named LeeAnn saved her. My sister in law began fostering her (after she went throgh a few foster homes). One weekend, she asked us to babysit her and their other dog Hershey (noticing a chocolate bar trend here?) ... it took about 10 seconds to realize, we had to have her.... She is the sweetest most beautiful dog ever, she has brought so much joy to our family... that goofy grin just melts your heart

Bio:
One adorable thing that we noticed about her is that her white patch on her chest is shaped like a heart.... cause she's just so darn lovable

Well, life in my new home has been pretty darn good.... I moved in about 6 months ago after living at mommy's brother / sister in law's for about 6 months as a foster, before that I was bounced around quite a bit and was getting really depressed and submissive - I don't understand why no one wanted me, I'm so friendly... may have had to due with the fact that i HATE crates, and tend to get a little upset (mom says I am using that term loosely) when left alone... When I first moved in with mom and dad, I didn't destroy too much, a couple of window frames, the front door, and oh yeah, the bathroom, I seemed to have got myself locked in and got very upset so I broke the shower (it's one of those old fashioned free standing ones) - oh, well mom and dad wanted a new bathroom anyway..... Lately I have been great, well, except for the red wine incident - mom left a box of red wine on the floor - it just looked like a big chewy box to me, so I bite into it and all this red stuff started spraying out all over the rug - so I left it... now mommy says it looks like there was a dead body or something in the dining room - oh well, mommy and daddy wanted a new floor anyway.... All and all I'm a pretty happy girl....mommy and daddy really love me alot and I have 3 cat siblings... the oldest one won't leave me aone, she's always rubbing against me and trying to sleep on me... she's kinda heavy, but she's warm so I let her... I hope that they don't ban me .... It's really a shame that people are picking on my breed.... They obviously don't know anything about pitbulls .... I wish people would read up on things before they speak.... I will just have to wait and pray that people wise up - Judge the Deed, Not the Breed - that's what mommy's bumper sticker says!!!!
