Birthday: October 17th 2006 Likes: I love to sleep and play - doggie day care is the best. I just learned to bark at everything and I love that. I drag all of my toys out of my toy box. I also like riding in the car. Sometimes I attack my Moms but they don't like it very much. Pet-Peeves: I don't like being called a horse other then that I love all the attention that life brings. Favorite Toy: Wow, I love all my toys. I get a new one (sometimes two) every week. Favorite Food: I love biscuits and I eat more of them then I do my own food they're much better. Favorite Walk: Ft. Funston though I'll go anyhere in the car where there is sand, grass and other dogs. Best Tricks: I sit, shake hands, and lie down. Arrival Story: We began our research for breeders a few months before bringing Jack home. It didn’t take long actually. We knew we wanted a Great Dane and knew the signs to look for when looking for the right match.
After speaking with many breeders and visiting a local litter we decided to meet breeders from Roguelk Kennels in Southern Oregon. We drove 3 hours and met the breeders half way between Oregon and San Francisco. They brought 3 puppies all nine weeks old for us to view.
It was Christmas Eve 2006 and we thought oh what a nice day for a drive. Nice and cold that is … the further north we drove the colder it got burr we weren’t prepared for the weather. Once we got to our meeting point frankly I was ready to leave.
I must say I was nervous to make this big purchase/commitment - I felt I was still shopping around. Jack probably didn't think he would be adopted that day either. Though funny enough when he met us he knew he wanted to be with us.
He was so friendly and social that when we poked our heads in the back of the SUV he leapt on top of us and smothered us with kisses and hugs. At that very moment we were all in love. His beautiful blue eyes, slick slate gray coat, white chest … and that puppy breath how could you not gobble him up. But we didn’t want to be too hasty so we tried to play with his littermates. They didn’t respond. We drove back 3 hours to San Francisco with Jack on our laps and that night he became our Christmas Puppy. Forums Motto: Its all about me I've Been On Dogster Since:
