Arrival Story:
I found her on the internet, listed for the adoption with the Second Chance Pet Rescue. Three weeks later, she moved in.

Bio:
Bagira was tied up to a pole with some sort of a cord on the Broadway street. Some woman saw her and called the rescue. Later on, the breeders, a friend of the owner and the owner himself were found. The owner became homeless, and Bagira lived with him on the streets for some time. She was abused by men several times (one of them broke into her house), and I suspect, by the first owner as well. That is why, she is quite cautious towards new people sometimes and can be protective but becomes extra friendly, when she sees that there is no danger for her and loves to play. Her first name was Chaos, the rescue name was Broadway, now she is Bagira. She needed an operaton because of the severe pyometra. Then, she lived in a foster home with 3 more dogs for several months and SCPR listed her for adoption. She was in a poor condition when I got her. Within four month she gained 7.5 pounds and changed her coat. Now she is happy, healthy except minor kidney issues, which are the result of pyometra, and taken good care of. I am training her, we are taking obedience classes and doing really great! I highly recommend clicker training for all pets and owners. Recently, Bagira's picture and biography were published in a book "CUTEST PETS AROUND THE GLOBE 2008".
