Arrival Story:
After Syd went to the bridge, my husband said he thought Syd would want us to open our home to another dobe. So while networking with the local dobe rescues, I saw Shea listed as a referral on one of the sites. I contacted her owner who is a college student. He was perfectly honest with me. Shea had contact demodectic mange and he was currently giving her the treatement and if she showed improvement, he was going to keep her. I gave him our contact information in case things changed. One night I received an email from him saying that he wanted to see if Shea would be a good fit for our family. He and his brother and his girlfriend drove a couple of hours to our home. After we met, they decided Shea would be a good fit for our family!!! We are so glad that they allowed us to become her dog pod!

Bio:
It has taken a couple of days for Shea to get used to her new surroundings and for Taz to warm up to her. They are both comfortable with each other and a bond has been formed! Shea being a youngster is keeping Taz on his toes. When he gets tired of playing with her, he will go jump on the bed and let Shea give him doggie kisses. Shea's former dad is ALWAYS welcome to visit. I keep him posted with her progress. He is a GREAT guy!
