Arrival Story:
I saw her picture on the Blue Dog Rescue site(http://www.bluedogrescue.com/ dogs/midge.htm) and fell in love with her cute face. I later found out she'd been rescued from death row at the local shelter where she was because she was lacking socialization. I went to go meet her at her foster family's and she was a little neurotic bark-y mess... I wondered what I was getting myself into, but as soon as we got into my car, she was full of love. After the trial weekend together, we've never been apart since. In the last few years she's become so much more friendly & trusting. She just got a new kitten brother last year, and they're best buds...
Bio:
She had surgery last year to remove her femur which was badly damaged either from a degenerative disease, an accident, or arthritis. She made a full recovery, and is better than ever. She can walk with mom for miles or hop on the bed. She's got a tattoo (from the shelter) and multiple scars... Hence her "Midge the Canine Pirate" alter ego.
