I wanted to thank all of my wonderful Dogster and Catster friends for sharing their thoughts, wishes, and prayers for us after the loss of my dear husband Ernie. It meant a tremendous amount to us, especially since we have no family in the area and it really made me feel a lot less alone in this world. Thank you again, I will never forget your kindness...

We are sad...

We've had some very sad news...momma's sweet husband Ernie, pased away on March 2. She is devastated and so if my earth sister Pongo. Please say a prayer for Ernie that he is swiftly on his way to heaven....

I'm entered in Dogster's World's Coolest Dog contest!!!

Mom entered me in Dogster's World's Coolest Dog contest. I hope that I get some votes. Mom says I am the cutest dog ever, but I think she is probably just a little biased :-))

Sorry I haven't been around...

My momma lost her job in August so it has been kind of a rough time at home. Because of that, we haven't been online very much and momma feels badly because she feels like she ignored our many dogster friends. She says she's sorry and she hopes you will all forgive her....

Mommy's back from the Vet with Pongo - she's feeling better

Hi from Pongo's mommy,

Thank you for the kind thoughts. I just got back to work. The vet took an xray so we know she didn't swallow anything and there were no suspicious lumps or bumps. The took blood but the results won't be back until tomorrow, however the concensus is either food poisoning, gastritis, or a stomach ulcer from the Deramaxx (anti-imflammatory for arthritis) that they started her on a month ago.

We'll know more tomorrow, but the gave her fluids sub-quetaneous and some shots to settle her tummy. The vet said to let her have small amounts of water tonight and try boiled rice and hamburger tomorrow. She also gave us an antibiotic but we can't start her on it until she eats so it won't upset her tummy. In any case, it looks like we dodged the bullet on something more serious (my biggest fear of course). Thank you so much for all of your pawsative thoughts and prayers. I think they made a difference :-))

Spring is here!!!

My mom has been doing a lot of thinking about me and my fursister Molly lately. Spring days and butterflies...Mom has been taking my earth fursister Pongo on lots of long walks and enjoying the weather. Spring is a beautiful time of year. Unfortunately she also starts thinking about how much she enjoyed taking me and Molly for walks and it makes her sad that we aren't there anymore for her to do that. She knows we are happy and healthy here at the Rainbow Bridge while we wait to be together again, but that doesn't ease the pain in her heart from missing us.

1 year bridge anniversary

Today is my one year anniversary at the Rainbow bridge. My momma is having such a hard time dealing with it. I wish I could let her know that I am ok and I'm not in pain anymore. I love you too momma...

Vacation

Well Mom will be on vacation until Monday Sept 24. She will have limited access to a computer so we wanted to let all my doggie pals know that we will see you soon!

A letter to Sammy from Mommy

Since tomorrow is National Pet Memorial Day I wanted to write a letter to Sammy.

Dear Sweet Samantha,

It has been 9 months since the light went out in my life and you passed on. Life just hasn't been the same since you went to the Rainbow Bridge. I miss you each and every day and not a single day goes by that I don't think about you. You were my life, my best friend, my confident and my true soul mate if ever I had one. I love you so much Sammy that my heart aches and the pain never seems to go away. The tears come before I can stop them (like right now) and my heart is so heavy with grief that I often wonder if I will ever be able to think about you without crying. I will love you and miss you until I draw my last breath in this life and then we can be together again.

Dog Rules

1. The dog is not allowed in the house.

2. Okay, the dog is allowed in the house, but only in certain rooms.

3. The dog is allowed in all rooms but has to stay off the furniture.

4. The dog can get on the OLD furniture only.

5. Fine, the dog is allowed on all the furniture, but is NOT allowed to sleep with the humans on the bed.

6. All right, the dog is allowed on the bed, but ONLY by invitation.

7. The dog can sleep on the bed whenever he wants, but NOT under the covers.

8. The dog can sleep under the covers by invitation only.

9. The dog can sleep under the covers every night.

10. Humans must ask permission to sleep under the covers with the dog!
