Arrival Story:
When my husband and I got married last summer, I knew I immediately wanted a dog to keep me company. I had a dachshund throughout my childhood, and I knew that after she died that I would have to have another one someday. So, after I finally convinced my husband to let me get a dog, we contacted a breeder. The breeder told us she only had one dog left that nobody had wanted, so I knew I had to get him. We met and Rusty came home with us right away. Now we know why nobody wanted him - HE IS A WILD MAN!!! The first few months were really hard with him, but now he is finally calming down and becoming extremely sweet. We love him dearly, and my husband (who never has had an animal before) treats him as if he is a child! He's our little child with fur!
