Not chasing after birds even though I know they're evil... actually I chase them anyways, sometimes. Sorry Mom.
Arrival Story:
I first met Mom when an animal control officer brought in my four littermates and I to the humane society where Mom worked. We were between two and three weeks old, so we had to be fostered. Mom took home my brother and I and another employee took home the three females. Mom raised us until we were about 9 weeks old and then took us back to the shelter so we could be adopted. Well, I got adopted by a family but then was returned when I was 10 months. Mommy came and rescued me and I couldn't be happier!
Then one day, about six months after we had gone to our new homes, Mom saw me on the shelter's Petfinder.com list. She immediately rushed home from school to see me and adopted me back into the family that same day. There was no way I was letting her go home without me! I love my mommy!

This weekend was another blast! Mom came back from school again and she took me to Petsmart because I needed something to chew on. It was fun scaring the birds in their cage... I like to chase anything that moves! We got into the toy aisle and, boy was that fun. So many smells from the rawhides, but Mom took me to the rubber toys because I can be pretty destructive with my mouth. I was a very good boy and just stood there while she tried to pick one out, except for when I went nosing through all the doggy peanut butter. Then I made some friends because a puppy class was going on inside and they started wandering around the store. The toy choice came down to a squeaky rubber ball and a Kong bone. I liked both but Mom thought the bone would have a better lifespan with me.
Grandma says I've been very good about not going potty in my cage anymore because I can hold it now! That's probably also due to the fact that she's been having to give me medicine three times a day.
Well, off to wrestle with Maggie some more! I swear, I can't do anything without her latching onto my neck. Then I just have to fight her off and chase her... except, she likes that.

What a fun weekend! Mom came home and we had all sorts of fun, minus the vet. I think Maggie actually likes me now because she's always chewing on my ears and scruff and trying to play whenever Mom takes the cone off my head. We played out in the front yard and Mom told me how proud she was for sticking by her side and not running off at all the distractions. She also told me that she's happy I don't bark constantly whenever I have to stay in my cage. And I'm getting the hang of this "free feeding" thing. The food's always there, so now I don't have to worry about it! It seems I'm a good boy :)

Mommy came home today! I was so excited I could barely contain myself. This stupid cone is still on my head and I knock just about everything over with it. My favorite thing to do with it is to flick up mud with the bottom edge. Mommy says I'm too hyper, but I'm just so happy all the time!
My vet appointment was set for today, but since Mommy got stuck in traffic on the way home from school, we rescheduled for tomorrow. Hopefully the doctor can figure out why I have to go to the bathroom so often.
