I've Been Valentine Tagged!!

I've been Valentine Tagged by my pawsome pal Buddy!

I need to list 5 wishes for Valentine's Day in my diary and then tag 5 pals who I want to join in the fun. I'll invite them by pmail or by sending them a rosette. Then they can write their own wishes and tag 5 of their pals! And so on, and so on. Lots of wishes, lots of positive thoughts! What could be better? Of course it's all voluntary. Some dogs are awfully busy. But I hope they'll join in.

My 5 wishes for Valentine's Day.

1. That every dog would have a safe, loving home and know that he/she is a good dog! And the same wish for kitties and all animals.

2. That my sweetheart ChiChi knows I love her.

3. That it will be nice weather so I can go on a walk with my mommy.

4. That I'll get to snuggle in my blankie.

5. That I'll get extra treats!!

Christmas Tagged!

I have been tagged for a new game by my wonderful pal Lucas Xenakis! I love you, Lucas; you are a true friend!

My Very Own Song

My friend Cosmo has a wonderful mom who sings him his own very special song, "The Ballad of Cosmo James".

Well, Cosmo's mom has a beautiful singing voice and some of my fellow Fundawgs and I got all swoony and she made up songs for us too. This is mine:

"Baxter, how we love ya, how we love
Our sweet Baxter
With heart type butt
You are a handsome mutt
Oh Baxter...how we love ya, how we love ya
Baxter dog of ours........."

It says, "heart type butt" because I have tan fur on my hind end that is the shape of an upside-down heart. Cosmo James has a right-side-up butt-heart in white fur! Neat, huh?

Thanksgiving Tagged (A Bit Late)

Back at Thanksgiving, I was very lucky to be tagged by two pawtastic friends, Greta Grace and MacTavish!! Unfortunately, Mommy just now helped me type my diary entry for the tag game. But it's never too late to be thankful, is it?

Here are the rules:
I think every pup knows the basic tag rules, but because it’s Thanksgiving time, there is a change to the rules. I get to tell ya about 7 things that I am thankful for and then tag 7 pals and tell them about it with a pmail or a rosette. Then those pups get to write in their diary, tag and notify 7 pals, and on it goes......

Since it's so late anyway, Mommy and I decided to change it up a bit--- she's going to write seven things that make her thankful for me!!

Seven things Mommy is thankful for about me, Baxter!:

1) Mommy is thankful that I jumped up into her arms that February 23rd and let her know that I wanted to be her boy.

2) Mommy is thankful for the Mommy's Home! dance I perform every time she comes home from work.

3) Mommy is thankful that I kiss her eyes each night. She thought she would be nurturing me, but I nurture her almost as much.

4) Mommy is thankful that I have the sweetest eyes in the whole world and that I look at her so trustingly.

5) Mommy is thankful I fought to stay alive when I was a baby puppy and was very sick. The vet took very good care of me and I fought, fought, and fought to stay and get to know my family better.

6) Mommy is thankful that I love spending time with her on walks and doing training and just hanging out.

7) Mommy is thankful that I'm silly and funny and love to smile.

I've Been Love Tagged! Wow!!

Here it is- the newest craze going around Dogster! It's called "You are loved!" Here's how it goes: Pick 3 dogsters who you think are just fantastic and tell a little about why you feel that they are so pawsome! Be sure to tell them how much they are loved with a p-mail or a rosette! Isn't it hard to pick only 3?

I feel so very, very lucky to have been tagged by my very good friend Dickens who is the kindest, sweetest, and funniest friend a pup could ask for. I feel honored that Dickens and his brother TJ are my pals and "big brothers", and I can't believe that Dickens chose me to tag. What a wonderful surprise! In short, I couldn't ask for any friend to be as fun to play with and as caring and as giving as Dickens is, and yet he is all those things and more. I love you, Dickens (and TJ)!

Choosing just three pals was very hard! I'd love to write about all my pals, each of whom is so special! But the rules say three only. :(

First, I'll tag Empress Mimi and Molly, The Sweetest Girl. These sisters are just as kind and fun as you can imagine! They're both rescue pups, and their mommy loves them very, very much. Mimi and Molly are both so good to me and always look out for me and make sure I'm okay. I feel happy whenever I see them, and that is the effect a true friend has on you! Thank you, Girls!!

Next, I'm going to tag MacTavish. Tav and I play lots of games together, and you can see a picture of us on my page. Tav is friendly, smart, and always takes the time to keep in touch with me. He loves running his Scotty laps as much as I love running zoomies, and I love to hear what is new in his life. Tav, thank you for being my pal!

I'm also tagging sweet Drake. Drakey the Puppy Pants always remembers me and keeps in touch. He's as cute as a button, and he's always so happy and friendly. He is in love with his family, just like I'm in love with mine! His pictures make me smile, and his pawmails are always so sweet. Drake, I'm so glad we're friends!!!

Ribs!!!

Last night, my family had this new thing: beef ribs!!! (Well, my family has had them before but not since I came along.)

I was so excited about these beef ribs that I walked around on my hind legs while they were thawing. My dog mommy is a very pretty black poodle, and I think I learned this circus-dog stuff from her.

So, I walked around and around on my back legs trying to see the beef ribs I could smell thawing. But did I get to taste them? No.

Then after the ribs came out of the oven, I thought for sure they were ready for me to taste. So I walked around on my back legs some more. But still no ribs for me.

Grrr, Mommy. Grrr.

If any pals out there ever taste beef ribs, let me know what you think! I'm gonna keep hoping my family drops some accidentally!

Motto

My mommy and I have a motto: "I love my mommy and my mommy loves me." Pretty simple, huh? Simple, but I love it! Mommy tells me that if I ever feel scared or lonely or sad, I should just remember our motto, and then I'll feel better. And it works! Plus usually, when Mommy says, "Bax, what's our motto?" I give her kisses to show her I do know the motto.

Well, it's been raining at our house for days and days and days. It stinks. I haven't been able to play outside or go for walks. Mommy did get me a puzzle where I pull little stuffed squirrels out of a stuffed tree, and that's pretty fun. But still, I am bored being inside all the time.

The only time I get to go outside is to go potty. And that's not fun at all; when I'm trying to go potty, raindrops get on me. Or if I go out under a cover, I hear the rain hitting the metal, and I don't like that. Hmmph.

Last night, Mommy took me out under the cover, and I could hear the rain hitting the metal, plus I could see the rain outside it, and I got scared. I huddled down, and I didn't want to move my feet. Mommy knew I had to go potty, but I just wouldn't move to do it.

So Mommy knelt down a few feet from me, and she knew I was scared, so she said, "Bax, what's our motto?" And guess what--- I knew our motto! And I realized I didn't have to be scared!! And just then I walked toward Mommy and I went potty!!! It was so great to remember I didn't need to be scared.

Yay, motto!

1. During the day when my mommy is at work, I stay with my Grandma (Mommy's mommy), Granny (Grandma's mommy), and my grandpa Ray.

2. I recently tried (alas, unsuccessfully) to steal a Cheeto.

3. I usually get just a little piece of a treat at a time because if I get a whole treat I bat it around for about five minutes before I eat it. I do this even if it's a teeny, tiny little treat.

4. I love to run zoomies in the backyard and in the house, and I don't even slide or stumble when I go from carpet to wood floors!

5. I weighed less than 2 pounds when I came to my home with Mommy.

6. I have one white toenail, but all my other nails are black.

7. I like to wrap around my mommy's neck when I'm taking a nap.
