Arrival Story:
My mother and I were irresponsible pet guardians and didn't have our (then only) dog, Mo, spayed before she became pregnant with a litter of Mo/sneakyneighbordog puppies (Lucy is truly a MUTT). Lucy was the runt of that litter, and is now and always has been the apple of my mother's eye. We weren't even really planning to keep a pup until one day my mother came home from work and announced that we'd call this little one Lucy. Guess that meant we were keeping her! (All k9 members of my family are now spayed/neutered - Yay!)
