Arrival Story: I was Queenie's foster home from 3/14/07 to 3/18/07. She is currently in a boarding facility because we don't have a foster home for her. She's a beautiful dog and will make a great pet once she has some structure and training. Queenie stayed at my house again 4/6/07 to 4/9/07 and then she was adopted on 4/20/07 by a young married couple with three daughters under age 5 and an obedient, well-behaved male pit bull. They're from Colorado and love to show off their well-behaved dog to dispel the bad reputation pit bulls get. **UPDATE: Queenie was returned on 5/17/07 for playing too rough with the other dog and the girls. Queenie apparently bit one of the girls on the head (while playing, we assume, although it wasn't witnessed) and she bit the mom on the elbow in play, but both bites were rough enough to cause bruises. They had done some good training with her, but unfortunately hadn't addressed her rough play, weren't supervising her well enough with their young children, and weren't taking her for daily walks. **UPDATE: Queenie was adopted again on 9/7/07 to a young couple with no kids. They plan to get some dog behavior training so they can deal with her strong personality.
