He is my boyfriend's dog, but I love him like my own. My boyfriend, John, didn't really want/need anything for Christmas so I told him to ask for a dog. After his parents finally gave in, we looked and looked for the perfect dog. I made some suggestions, but he didn't want a "sissy" dog. He was thinking about getting a puggle, but came across Patches' ad online. There was a picture of two dogs, and the breeder said Patches was the last one left from his liter. When we both saw the picture, we fell in love and decided he was the one.
A week or two before Christmas, while John was in class, I went to his house and John's dad and I went to get Patches. The drive was an hour and a half, but well worth it! We met the breeder in a McDonald's parking lot and when I saw him he was so cute! He was scared and shaking, but quiet as could be. We got some food, and headed back home. Patches was in a cage while I ate, and as soon as I was done eating, I took him out and held him for the hour and a half back. He was still shaking, and about the last 15 minutes of the ride left, he finally calmed down and laid down in my lap. When we got to John's house his whole family including him were so excited to see Patches. Jake, John's other dog would not stop licking his ears!!! The poor dog was soaked in Jake slobber. We were all thinking of a name, and I came up with the name Patches because he has 3 patches: one on his right ear, one on his left ear and eye, and one on his back. Other Info: I am the calmest Jack Russell you will ever see! When I'm outside I enjoy running around, but when I'm indoors, if you try to playwith me, I just flop over on my back and want belly rubs. I also rarely bark. Mommy and daddy say I bark more in my sleep when I am dreaming than when I'm awake.
