Arrival Story:
My daughter and I went to the local flea market and someone was there with 15 of these puppies running around. I thought that they were the prettiest Bassets I had ever seen. After a while we left. We went back home and got my husband and we went into Knoxville for a while, and when we were heading home I told my husband about these Bassets. He said it was ok to stop again and look at them. I never expected them to still be there five hours later. We stopped and they had two left. A little girl was holding one, another lady the other. My husband told the guy he wanted that one and pointed to the one the little girl was holding. The girl was upset and looked at her dad. My husband asked him if he was going to get it or not and he said no. So Buttercup went home with us.
Bio:
This dog is so wonderful. Bassets are far from lazy. She is a ham beyond anything I could ever explain. A love, a clown, a joy.She is so funny. She will sit pretty by the bed until you lift her on it. Even though she can jump up on her own. She won't come inside until you rattle the Meaty Bone Box, and don't you dare buy the generics!!
