We weren't looking for a dog, just browsing the pound, and it was love at first sight. She had been roaming around the bad part of town and a child found her and took her home on the bus. They took her to the pound and we couldn't leave without her. They hadn't fed her well, nd she was half the weight she now is.

I guess there is a game of tag running around Dogster so Lola had to play.
1. I love digging a hole in the snow and sleeping in it.
2. I act like I chase the cat around, but we sleep snuggled together.

Well today mom and grandpa and me went on a walk by the river. I was trying to be a really good girl and protect my mom before grandpa showed up, so I bayed (I can't really bark, I just howl and growl!) and growled at some strange men that walked by. It's the first time I've done this outside of our house, and it really surprised mom! I sure showed them though, they gave us a wide berth!
My mom gets pretty frustrated sometimes when we go for walks, she calls me a "donkey" sometimes, I guess I just like being stubborn a lot!! I know she doesn't really mean it, but I sure do like ulling her all over the place!
I saw a bunch of geese for the first time today, I got all mucky too and waited till we got into the truck to shake, my mom wasn't very impressed! Grandpa was telling mom all about my breed, and how I'd be a real good swimmer because of my webbed feet, so I think mom might take me out swimming in the river in summer!!
Well it's time for my nap before supper,
