Arrival Story:
We found him on and a few months later I went back and he was still on there. I called the shelter and went up to see him. He was so cute like a baby bear. He spent almost a year in that shelter. No one wanted him, when he came in he had flea bites on his ears, tapeworm and was very skinny.

This dog doesn't have a mean bone in his body.

A few days after that girl came in to see me Sue came into the shelter and told me that I would be going home with a family today. She told me she came in to meet them.

That nice girl came with her husband a few hours later, they even had another dog. I was getting everything I ever wanted all at once, a mom, a dad and even a brother. That nice girl even had a hedgehog in her hand so I didn't feel bad leaving mine behind.

When I got to my house it was a dream come true. It was a huge house with a gigantic yard. I was allowed to lay on the couch and even on the bed. I had as much water as I could drink and I had so many toys.

I felt like I had it all. I slobbered all over my new dad's sweatshirt he laughed and gave me some of his food. I had treats, bones and my own bowl. My new grandma even brought me my own bag of treats and some more toys. My mom's friends at work bought me treats too, it made me feel like a celebrity.

My mom took me a couple days later to get groomed after a bath and a brush I felt right at home. I have a family, finally...

It doesn't have to be over...

You know I thought I was done with my diary because my life on earth is over. But then I thought about all of the wonderful things in my life that I never got to write. So I decided to write about my life from the beginning or at least as far back as I can remember.

I can only tell you from when I was 4. I was wandering the streets with my brother Bruiser. That is where a nice man found us and took us to the shelter. I had fleas real bad and they had been biting at my ears pretty bad, I had scars on my ears from it. I also had a tapeworm which made me really skinny. But the people at the shelter took really good care of me and Bruiser. They had really good food and a warm place to sleep. We weren't there very long when my brother was adopted. It made me sad to see him go.

I spent a long time there, almost a year. I actually went to obedience classes and after I was trained I got to go to shelter events with a nice woman named Sue. She always told me I would find the right family for me.

I heard the people at the shelter talking to someone on the phone about me, asking all kinds of questions, saying something about some website. The next week right when they were closing I heard someone say they were here to see me. They asked her if she was one that called and she said yes. She came right to my cage and said "hi Cruiser". I got off my bed and picked up my stuffed hedgehog and took it to the front of my cage. She laughed at me and a man came up and asked her if I was Cruiser? He asked if she still wanted to take me home and I can't tell you how happy I was when she said "yes". She bent over and whispered that she would be back for me. I have heard that before so I wasn't about to get my hopes up.

Diary of the Day

I heard thru the grapevine that I am diary of the day. I never knew what that was. I wanted to let everyone know that I am doing just fine. Since getting to the Rainbow Bridge, I can see, jump, and eat whatever I want. I was diabetic for a lot of my life and my mom took good care of me. I was never sick because I ate what I was supposed to. If your mom or dad finds out that you are diabetic let them know that it is not a death sentence and you will still have a wonderful life like I had.

My mom and dad brought my ashes home on Monday so I can finally rest in peace. Thank you for all the kind messages that mom received today, thank you for caring.
